I was off by one day when I finally got out to look for some sheds. If I would of went Monday my chances would of been good but noooo I wait until Tuesday after it snowed and I couldn't find crap. Live and Learn!!
The snow is finally starting to melt here. As usual im working the week end AGAIN, three in a row. Im taking a vacation day friday so I DONT have to work that week end, it will be on guys, ill be hitting it hard FINALLY!

My father and I took the dog to the property today for some property therapy and ended up finding our third dead head this year, third buck as well. No sheds for me but still way too much snow to see much.
Hey team! Actually got off work yesterday and got a quick shed hunt in. Its been along time comming but I found my first tree hanger!
Took off work yesterday early, went for a couple hours, nothing but a Big Deer leg, looked like from a pretty good size Buck!
Went out to tap the maples and do some walking, came across some beds and tracks but thats it. Will be out again this week to collect sap and walk again.
I dont get it, I seen around 35 different Bucks during season and cant find many Sheds LOL Put in 10-12 miles this last week end and zippo! Two Dead Bucks, one a spike and the other was a very large Buck that had dropped his antlers already.
I'm having the same problem... I'll be walking the property again this weekend, covering the same areas I did this last week. I'll be grid searching a bit more now that it isn't so wet.
Ive only came up on deadheads when I get close to the road treelines. 1-3 inches of snow tomorrow unfortunately.
All the snow is pretty much gone from our place, was out looking yesterday after collecting maple buckets, no luck.
Took a ride on the course after my post this morning and out of pure luck I spotted this shed from the cart path on the edge of a dry pond. He could be a hitlister for this area next year.
hey everyone!! Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, but there is nothing to report except for snow! We have about a foot or so left on the ground, some spots have less. I'm planning on making it out this saturday or sunday to check bedding areas, for tips of antlers sticking out through the snow!!!
Nice find gutpile !! I found an oldie today, this is one of the toughest times I have had finding sheds! That makes 3 for me captn.
