I'm sure your getting tired of the snow but I'd kill for a foot or so. This has been the most disappointing winter in years here. We are constantly just south of the snow/rain line.
I have yet to gone out with this chest cold currently going on. I must confess though I have been out ice fishing within the warm shanty. :-) I will get after it soon!
-15 low here in MI this weekend, I was going to fill the feeders up but not sure if ill make it out in that cold.
I hear ya on this one. -20 to -30 wind chills pretty much the entire weekend with the same temps on the way!
30+ MPH winds this past weekend kept me home from shd hunting, organized and took inventory of hunting stuff instead.
We got dumped on with some pretty good snow, Im starting out slow this season but itchin to get out again!
The "feels like" temp was -38 this morning... Feels like it's never going to warm up and that I'll never be able to get out!
got 6" more today. I now have 42" of snow in my yard. every time I take corn out I have to wear my snowshoes. I can't remember the feeling of going out in the woods with out snowshoes. more snow on the way.
Just pulled 4 cams, had over a month soak. 2,500 pics, i just checked 500 ish, got alot of Bucks still holding on, got a couple half shedders and a few full droppers! Going out in the morning, snow or no snow!
Found out where they were bedded but no luck with finding any bone. Found a lot of beds with small amounts of blood in the middle? Highest point on our property, most of the beds were in this area. First time seeing a Rabbit game trail.
Got all cam pics checked, man I have tons of Bucks still carrying. The snow just starts to melt here then freezes and its solid ice, cant even walk on it. Looks like im working all weekend and then 10 hr days, as soon as this tuff melts im taking a vac day for an all day shed hunt.
This plan got cancelled... High of 28 degrees, but I forgot to factor in the 15-20mph wind making it feel like 5 to 10. 3-4 inches of snow expected tomorrow, but then we get a very nice warm up this week!
Rain tomorrow then 3-6" tomorrow night. I may be able to go back to work next week and will definitely do some walking this weekend.
High of 36° this weekend should make for a good walk around the property. Hopefully some of the snow settles with this warm weather rolling in.
