Also...happy to see an old friend from last year made it clean through and added some length/mass/stickers.
Boot those are some good 9pt. TY which one is that from last year? Fitz I think the BHOD crew has a upper hand but you never know what can happen. If you and TY can figure something out as a side bet I think it would be fun. Well didn't get any plots in this weekend, actually didn't get anything done this weekend. Ended up taking a pretty good fall Thursday and all the weight went onto my right shoulder. Mobility with my right arm has been pretty slim since then. I don't think anything is broken since I can push around and not feel any certain spots. Not sure what the deal is with it but I am starting to think I may want to go get it checked out so I can take right steps into getting things back to normal.
Nick...that is at the Homestead/Riverbottom spot. He was a nice inward 8 last year with a sprouted 9th...if it is the same buck as I think. Or pops thinks it really could be Curly now 2 years later...either way he's in trouble...problem is I don't hunt Homestead till gun really, as I focus on the Swamp Prop (RD and others) because we lose it come gun season. The Riverbottom prop though is about a 10 acre alfalfa field and about 10 acres of oak flat that overlooks (30-50 foot high) river bottom...only 2 main entrance/exits in and out of the riverbottom. This property is just across the county road from my parents (Homestead)...owner lets us hunt but has a tendency to be too kind hearted and has always let someone else last minute bow hunt as well....makes it tough...but the spot really holds awesome potential. Lot of mis-hunting of this property by these "others" have led to some of my bucks killed at Homestead as they push them right up to bedding area bordering Homestead...Trident was the latest one, a 120ish inch 3 1/2 year old I killed in I think 2011. Pops buck from last year was the same thing. Also if you remember the 115/120 buck I passed last year...he died on this prop minutes later.
Also man get that checked just to be safe...most likely just time and rest will be key but never know! Get better....otherwise I guess I'll come hunt your bucks you can video with one hand.
I am still waiting on some other pics u have been getting Hopefully its nothing to serious, I can pretty much move it all around just have to move real slow. If I lift my arm up then try to go back down pretty much its own weight causes pain. If any one knows me good enough I will figure out a way to be in the woods regardless if its something more serious then I think. Hate to say it but if it comes down to it I would use a crossbow (nothing against them just not MY first choice). But on a up side I have 5-6 weeks of healing if needed.
I have no idea what you're talking about bahaha! Haven't gotten a clear image yet...always in the background or blurry....Couple of the main spots though I've left alone for a long soak......hopefully when we seed that plot it's raining and I'll do some cam pulls. If it happens have your phone ready :D
Love these! My ID is Pick00 "l" not 1 however, no need for you to change it. Most people assume it is a 1 anyway
Sweet. Love the individualized team pics. Moved my ladder stand to the new spot yesterday. Got her all set up and cut lanes. I have a good feeling about this spot, it's up in some pines and has great back cover. This is gonna be a doe magnet when the food choices start deminishing. Pulled the card and had a bunch of doe traffic very regular. No bucks walked in front of the cam but I'm not to worried about that. I know this is going to be a doe haven later on and they should bring the bucks with them.
There is also a few decent places on trails that are perfect for my climber. As if I haven't said it enough yet, I'm super excited about this property. Haha ;-)
