I am checking in. Getting stands up out in western Nebraska and it is looking like it could be a good year from the photo's on the trail camera's. Now I just need a big one to come by my stand.
I'm heading to my new spot after work today to finally put out my trail cam. Hoping to gather a decent inventory of deer. The plot I'll sitting over there has buckwheat now and will have winter rye soon. Like I said my buddy mainly plants these to keep the deer off of his quarter acre garden and out of his veggies. I looked it over last weekend and already have a great spot for my stand as long as the camera tells me they're traveling into it the way I think they are. I'm hoping to have some pics to share soon. Sept 15th is coming up on me fast this year. :-)
Sounds like the spot has some solid potential bud! Same here...been so busy and now back issues and next thing I know I'll probably be busier than ever come mid/late August....I hate doing anything in the woods after 3rd week of August but this may have to occur this year.
Almight don't let public land intimidate u to much. I did for years then finally started actually put as much work in there as I did at my lease. Paid off last year. Never know what can happen during the rut either. My plan was to not neglect the public land this year during the rut like I did last year but I may need all the time I can get at my lease this year trying to put down the ONE. Might go to the lease tomorrow to check the other cameras and make sure two didn't get washed out in the creek from the bad storm yesterday.......
Well fellas. I started at the chiropractor for diagnosis. Immediately found right side of body was out of alignment an entire inch....and had one of the worst pelvic twists he's seen. That is what caused the muscle ball (knot) which was huge on my lowrr back, he said that muscle was under so much pressure it was inflaming itself to protect from tearing. Needless to say I'm done for this week probably but he seemed to think it'll be okay sooner rather than later. Pissed I couldn't helpthe team at our state tournament (softball) but he said if I'd played I very well may have torn that muscle. Hope to be drawing bow sometime next week...hopefully!!!
I think it does. Definitely the spot I'm most excited about this season. Still have a few pretty decent public land spots to hunt aswell. I'm pretty amped about getting this new private spot though. Haha Yeah ive been busy with work and camping. Got my first camper a few months back and have been using it as much as possible. I sure hope the back issues aren't too severe and persistent. That's definitely not cool. Here's to a speedy recovery my friend.
Ty stick with the chiropractor I'm a big believer in them. Take it easy and let it heal or you will be fighting it for awhile. On another note took my boy out yesterday and got all my lanes trimmed freshened up my mineral sites and put new cameras out. Meet with the farmer and since he didn't replant anything after the flood we are going to plant several fall plots which is freaking sweet. Also retired my diamond marquise and bought a new carbon spider. Well there's my update. Make sure you guys get out and get work done so you can reap the benefits this fall. Still not sure if I am going to the farm this weekend to do some work. Want to check cams but also thinking I might just wait until we do the food plots in a week or two
Bought me a Truck for Hunting. It was time to get one and didn't want anything real nice as I scratch them up. Sent from my XT830C
Had to drop some money off to the farmer this weekend so decided to check cams. One has some corrosion with the batteries so wasn't working and I must of not turned one on all the way........ Did have a new buck show up in the creek but not the best picture. All I can tell is he's really wide and tines aren't the longest. All of these deer are on the far east side of the farm and the farmer told me he has been seeing another one on the north. I have a feeling over the next few weeks the other cams will start showing some new bucks
It's a 97. 156,000 miles. It's in great condition... No body or frame rust. I paid $4800. Everything works like it should and so on. Brand new tires. Not sure where you live, but here in Tennessee, Toyotas and Chevrolet are pricey. You can buy Ford and Dodge for a little to nothing. Depending on the shape and mileage of yours, should be able to get good money. They sale good here. The sad part is mine booked for $5700 if I remember correctly. Sent from my XT830C
