It will feel good to repeat....lol. I'll try to get 50 on the board September 26th. I'll try to hold off on my Fergie clause deer donation to the Church this year...lol. Or at least give them a doe.

Checking in!! I gotta say the view is pretty good when your at the front!

Doing more work than last year. As I posted in the old thread, I'm on three new properties this year and lost access to the piece I was on last year.

I wish I could say I had a few good ones pinned down already but I don't quite get. Heading out this weekend for another two day road trip to do more work and scouting on the new places. Hoping I'll have a good one pinned by this time next week!

I am thinking my odds are just about as good as last year to get the job done. Really hoping to fill the Ohio tag this year. So we will have to see what happens and hopefully I wont have one slip through my fingers again.

Yeah you and me both...I just don't want a decent 120 incher to tempt me again this year because I always have a tougher and tougher time the longer it's been since I've tagged a buck haha! Gonna probably stay away from hunting the Homestead property until gun season due to having more of the 120's....will chase the others until then.

I'm checking in. Got another week before concentrating on deer. I'm up in Alaska halibut fishing this weekend. It should be a great time.

Haven't had much chance to get out and see what all I have around this year yet but did have a landowner come in to the store and ask me "should bucks have wide tall racks this early?" . I let him know that they could have but still had a little growing to do, then asked where he had seen a wide tall one at. The answer was "he came off the hill, past your stand, and had 4 other bucks with him.

Might have to get out there and check him out soon. With the lack of a drought this year we should finally have a decent acorn crop on the top of that hill and it usually stacks a lot of deer in there during the early season.

The best part is I had to come up here for work so the trip is paid for. I just made sure I had to "work" through the weekend so I could head off fishing for a couple days. Some days I can really love my job.

Well even though we got more rain yesterday it turned out pretty good. Drove around the farm yesterday since I was in the area and came up to a bean field I watched over last week one evening. Happen to catch two bucks grazing on some beans in the middle so stopped and was taking a look through the binos. Small buck, small buck.......... put the binos down for a second then three other deer stood up. Pulled the binos back up :jaw:, Turkey foot was standing there with two other shooters. Second time I have ever laid eyes on him 1 day short of exactly a year apart. All I can say is his brows this year are looking really good. Was already planning on going to the farm this weekend to move cameras around so hopefully he decided to show up on one. Will be back out there on the next front to try and catch him in the spotting scope.
