I'm praying man. Just once I'd like them to be willing to meet face to face and discuss, find out what the hell we've ever done to them to make them act like ****s. Thing is they avoid us like the plague...we shall see. Once the new stand comes in we are gonna hang it and move some cameras from where they are as the last pull they've spotted them again, even the one like 27 feet up a tree....

Just have a eerie feeling now every time I drive or walk across an open field over there. We've already told landowner we will cover cost of planting hybrid willows or poplars along the one open field edge (they have blind set up on) to deter seeing into his property and fields....just one of the many things we need to do in the off season.

We are also going to be posting his property very clearly and obviously with no trespassing signs...hate doing all this in season but sometimes you just have to.

Boot - Congrats in the buck. That is awesome. 49 yards is far and you seemed to nail it. Great going once again. I would never apologize for shooting a buck that got my heart racing.

TY - Man that really stinks. I really hope the situation turns quickly for you and your dad.

Quick hunting update. I got out in the cold and rain on Saturday. Saw nothing. I felt like I was not smooth with anything. Packing the night before and not able to fit my stuff in my pack. Getting to my stand and almost getting lost (First time I was getting to my new spot in the dark...with no real path to follow), climbing into my stand etc... Nothing like the first hunt to knock the rust off! I'm really ready for this weekend. Hopefully it will not be pouring rain.

Anyone making it out tonight or this week? I am not gonna lie, this whole experience since the cams stolen and now the stand really zapped my desire to hunt that place (best land we got too)....so I'm focusing on my job (boss will be happy) and second job and gonna just kinda hit the refresh button once this week is done.

In the meantime let the arrows fly boys, get a solid mature doe in front of ya at the right spot and sling it fellas! Love a BBD text too from someone!

I'm off all week. Went this morning. Seen two more bucks at 8:30am. Watched them for 30 minutes picking around before they left. Both were small, 4 point and 6 point. Fun watching them though. I scored my 7 point....I'm followed online instructions. Come up with 49"...lol. I'm gonna submit for 50.

Sticking around close to the house for the next week or so. Will likely get out for a sit or two this weekend at the local suburban spot so I can try and kill a nanny. Can't wait to get back in the woods!

Well made it out for both sits yesterday. Sat the spot I had to deal with the trespasser in the morning. Had two little bucks come in right at first light. Went to the farm and checked a few cams. My pines area is starting to pick up action with a ton of tracks all around it. Only small bucks and does on cam though. Put a cell cam on the clover plot there. Other camera along fence line was full of a branches moving in the wind and deer. For some reason I could only look at half the pics. One decent 8pt showed up that I don't have any pics of before. About 5 scrapes along the fence row. Going to put the last cell camera on that fence line since I feel turkey foot uses that. Got in the stand and had 4 doe come in before I was even ready but that was it for the night. Probably going to skip out on morning hunts this weekend since I have a lot to get done before leaving for Wyoming on Tuesday. Plus If I was to shoot a doe I would be really pressed to get it taken care before leaving. Will be hunting the farm in the evening though.

.......But a buck would be well worth the stress of trying to get everything processed before leaving

I'm taking off Friday and staying through Wednesday next week. Going to hunt in the morning and try and kill a nanny. Need to get some work done on the cabin so I don't feel so bad when I just hunt in November.

I was down in Orlando for work this week at a major IT conference (anyone else there?). I'm going to try to make it out tomorrow morning and Saturday afternoon. Still trying a new spot I picked out to see if there is any movement in that area of the woods. I do not have a camera near that stand so, only putting the time in the stand will tell the story.

Haven't said to much about it but my dad, buddy and I are heading to Wyoming Tuesday evening for a week. Heading out there to try after some mule deer. We will be using rifles so I cant cheat and use a mule deer for the contest like JZ :p. Never been out there but have a few buddies I grew up with that moved out there probably 5-7 years ago. To be honest going in blind with no real direction as of right now so the first few days will mainly be scouting.
