Went to the farm today to check cams and trim a couple things with one stand. Food plot is doing exactly what it was suppose to. I knew once they cut the corn to the south for silage I would have better chances to close in on him. Can only hope he does the same thing a touch earlier next Thursday.

Got my bow dropped off at a local shop after work today. He should be giving me a call tomorrow. Hoping to get back in the stand in the next couple days.

All good now worries, This guy is kind of my main priority for the time being.

Well I think Ohio this weekend is a no go. Really only have one good stand for what the wind is going to be plus my buddy has some other priorities to take care of. One of my other buddies drew a bear tag for Michigan this year so think I am going to tag along with him this weekend and do some filming instead.

After shooting last night I felt like I am getting back to normal so now the itch is really getting me. Trust me I am happier than a pig in mud right now with him being around but that still don't mean he wont avoid me like he has the past two years.

I think I may have taken the taller 8 off the hit list for me. Not as impressed once he got rid of his velvet. The wide one still has my attention but If presented the opportunity idk what I would do. Turkey Foot has my full attention right now but as season goes on will see how I am feeling. This is only due to I have a small window to get it done cause once the guns start going my season is over at this farm.

Went to PT this morning and now I don't feel so guilty about shooting my bow. He wasn't to impressed that I was shooting but the daily exercises he has me doing work my shoulder way more then I even thought about trying.

That's awesome that the healing process is coming along well Nick.

Got my bow back from the shop. Went ahead and had new strings and cables put on. It pretty well needed it anyway. I was planning on doing it after season but that mishap just expedited it. Haha Shot it back in and everything seems to be in good order. I basically only had to drop my peep some to get it back on track.

Well I'm out of the game for a little while. Was out making a few repairs on some stands and moving one to cover part of our newly acquired ground and ended up slamming my hand into the stand when the ratchet strap finally moved.

I went ahead and sat the stand last night, right after moving it, and it didn't take long for me to realize that something wasn't right when my wrist started swelling and just didn't seem to stop. Decided to go get Xrays when I made it home and nothing was broke but had managed to sprain my wrist.

Leave it to me to come up with a new way to sprain a wrist (bouncing my hand off of my stand in a backwards motion). Didn't have anything patterned this year so the time away from the woods isn't all bad and I hope to be ready to get back out there with the first good cold front.

    Everyone be careful out there.

dang that sucks JLS, hopefully you heal up fast. At least nothing was broken though and it happened now and not when things are starting to get rocking.

Prezactlly, Lots of time left to get it done and the better hunting is a ways away. I've got some help lined up so I'll be back out there in a couple of weeks or so........ maybe sooner :)

I can't remember the last year that I haven't shot a buck and a couple of does and I don't plan on changing that this year so I'll still end up with meat in my freezer/points for the team

Good luck to everyone that is out hunting!
