Great job Chris. That is sweet! I didn't get out yesterday morning, ended up heading up north and spent the day trout fishing. I will be back out tomorrow morning, hopefully I can put something on the ground!

Alright Chris, I got a text from Dubbya saying Tommy Died this morning too. If he used his bow we just blew this thing WIIIIIIDE open!!

Nice bird Chris, looks like you whacked him good.

I went after em with the Remington this weekend, but they just wouldn't come to anything I threw at em. I had 3 gobblers within earshot almost the entire weekend but I couldn't chase after them. They were'nt on my property and no matter what I did they would not come to me. They stayed across the hollow and gobbled back all weekend long.

Well guys, this morning was interesting to say the least. I missed a really nice gobbler.

I set-up in an area that usually holds turkey but I havn't seen any sign of them this year beside a few hen tracks on a dirt road. As it started getting light I was trying to listen closely for any gobbles (property has two highways surrounding it) and I thought that I heard a faint gobble. After about half an hour and not hearing anything I was really questioning wether or not I had heard a bird when I notice turkeys entering the field 100 yards in front of me. At around 60 yards they cut towards my right (didn't have a window open on that side of the blind) so I opened a window and got ready. There was one longbeard, two jakes, and three hens in the group. They got to about 30 yards and the longbeard was in full strut. I aimed and let her rip just to see dirt fly above the turkeys back and he took off running into a thicket. I got out of the blind and checked, sure enough it was a clean miss. I am really not sure what I did, I was holding dead steady on the bird, just user error I guess. :busted: I am gonna shoot a little when the rain lets up to make sure my sight isn't off.

I still have tomorrow to hunt, I'm not sure if I will try this area again or hit up a different section of woods, hopefully I can put something together. There is still alot of time left in the season, hopefully the next time a bird comes in range I don't choke:deer:
