Hey all. Been gone & busy to hit the site. Update: first season sucked. toms just would not cooperate. barely gobbled. I had 1 that did only for an hour 5a-6a. missed 2 toms with the shotgun of all things. (I've never missed) 50+ yrd shots. had opportunity and was stunned when both flew away. My 2nd season starts this week on Wed. Hoping to get out and get it done. I'm gonna try for the big boy I missed a cpl of weeks ago. He's roosting in one spot so I'm gonna move a little closer with decoys. what sux is that on Wed I am scheduled to work and requested comp time but won't find out if I got till 0630 that morning. good thing is that I'll be at the health club 20 min away from where I hunt so I'll be in the blind by 7am. Good luck to everyone still hunting. Congrats to those that put points on the board.

Am I the only one that can see my bow in the pic I posted? Not sure what I did wrong...It really is ME...and a turkey...and my bow. Maybe it's hard to tell the difference between me and the turkey? Either way, we're both in the picture. :)

Hey Johnny, congrats on that tom you killed. Very nice bird; good luck with the rest of your season. Keep shooting...you'll get past the target panic.

Ours was over yesterday too. I was hoping to sneak out one more time but the rainy forecast changed my mind. In the end it didn't rain much at all and I should have gone. It was still a great year even though I only filled one tag. I was with my Mom when she shot her first one. Twice we had toms come into the decoys, that's better than any other time, so we had opportunities, it just didn't quite happen. Good luck to everyone that's still hunting!

    Nope, only one pic required.

"Only bow kills will be accepted. The hunter must provide a picture of the full turkey, hunter and bow all in the same frame. No exceptions will be taken."

    Dan got is scored now.

Didn't make it happen this year season is over in 2 days. But we're going tomorrow to have my son so it's a good ending to the season.

Being able to enjoy the hunt with a son or daughter is the best, even if you don't kill your game. I hope that one of my daughters will give me a grandson one day that I can pass on the passion of the outdoors. My girls don't want to go out so I'm hoping. Enjoy it m_jaske.
