I took a vacation week for the Ohio Turkey opener, I'll be out everyday until I tag out, hopefully day one.

I'll be heading to the one piece of private ground that I hunt tomorrow, hopefully I can call in a coyote or two. I had one bugger my hunt the only time I was there last year and the landowner calves on that place so I'm sure he will be happy. I'm also going to throw out a couple cameras and see what else we can do with it. The birds roost there but if you don't get them to play in the morning they are gone for the day. They are pretty decoy wary so I stepped up my decoys a little. I flocked my cheap decoys and bought a motion stake. I've had real wings on my strutter for a couple years but I've never had really good reactions. I may make the fan go up and down before I'm all done too. Good luck to everyone!!

Those are some good looking decoys. I had one decoy out last year and actually had a couple come running out of the woods in my blind spot and snatched up my decoy. The SOB ran off with it for about 20 yards. Popped it in the process but shot an arrow right over him. It's ok cause he met his end during deer season, lol.

Well, the Rios won this year. We put close to thirty miles on the boots this year in three days, got set up on three birds total. It just wouldn’t work for cameraman and hunter. Either cameraman could see them perfect and hunter couldn’t or the other way around. Not too worried. Just got off the phone with my buddy, it looks like I’ll be in Ohio for the last couple weekends of their season as well as Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky.

Does anyone know afflicted or tca 126? I sent them a message a couple days ago. If you do know them can you get a hold of them before we have to replace them? When do we need to let them know we would need alts?

Checking in! As Big Hoss earlier stated I have been pretty tied up lately. Welcomed my new hunting partner to the world last week! Might be a few years before I can get him out though!

I had a few conversions with Afflicted about broadheads for hogs last spring, he's usually pretty active on here.

Yeah I usually see him post frequently and I sent him and Tca 126 a message. I believe we need to let them know tomorrow about replacements, correct me if I'm wrong please. Does anyone know?

Congrats on the baby Garet. I'm not sure when we have to let them know about replacements. Might have to email Dan (Bloodcrick) and find out.
Two years ago I called in a nice tom in Oklahoma and whacked him. He ran out into the field and dropped dead about 40 yards. I looked down to text my son and when I looked up, a coyote was trying to drag my bird off. Sent an arrow just under the rib cage. Maybe next time. :)

Our season starts in the morning. Looks like I'll have an opportunity to recreate this picture. Snow Sunday and again next weekend. IMG_20170428_124137.jpg
