Nice job Hoyt. I got another one this morning that's a match to one of the several I found the other day. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I'll be out walking again in the morning after work. Hopefully I'll get some stands moved around too. I'm hoping for a productive day tomorrow.
I hunt about 300, but I have permission on about 15 different properties to look for sheds, i have no clue how many acres. I also don't walk them by myself. I found 117 sheds last year.
I got out for a little bit today. I found 2 sheds and a dead 8 pt. My wife found one shed on the day. 3 sheds and a 127" 8 pt, not a bad day. That should put me at 17 so far.
You guys are killin it! I'm still waiting for the snow to melt..... Should be prime conditions to go searching this weekend. BTW, we still have a few bucks showing up on camera with both sides.
I walked for a few ours this morning and came up with nothing. I had pics of one small buck that still had both sides, so hopefully most of the bigger bucks are still carrying too. If not, then I've probably walked right by their sheds. I put some more mineral out so maybe some of the bigger guys will show up in the next few days on the cameras.
That is a great shed. Keep up the good work. Snake-How many total sheds do you have? I want to make sure the totals are correct.
I'm pretty pumped up. Tonight is my last 12 hour night of work until next harvest. Also my last weekend until then too. I'll be heading out in the morning after I get off. Hopefully the wife and I can find some from some of the bigger guys tomorrow. I hope to at least have some pics of them to see if they dropped or not.
Well tomorrow I'm going on my 1st out of state shed hunt. Going to drive an hour to Kansas public ground. Hopefully I find some!!
It snowed 2-3" where I was planning on looking in KS so i'm not going there today, I am going to try and look at some public ground near me though.
Dad beat me to our honey hole Saturday. He ended the day with 20 sheds. I'll be out a couple evenings this week along with Saturday and Sunday.
