Did you have any luck killing any coyotes?[/QUOTE] No luck killing any yotes. The wind was pretty bad but I'm prob just making an excuse for being unsuccessful haha
Shot a buck last week and his rack fell off when I picked his head up! I think they should count as sheds what's your opinions?
I went to check my camera today and found pics of my #1 hitlist buck with antlers in one pic and none in the next pic. It was 7 hours in between pics and I looked for his sheds for awhile but couldn't find anything. I'll be back at it tomorrow to try and find them.
****ie that is a nice buck. To bad about the antlers. We would have to check to see if they could count as sheds.
Ya that is a nice buck. That's a tough one not sure if they should be sheds or not. Congrats on the buck tho. Good luck finding those sheds snake.
sorry guys, I'm the last to check in. Been down with the flu for a few days. I'm up in northern MN, and the snow depth and temps are not ideal conditions for shed hunting. Good luck to everyone!
We really need snow here in NE, i checked some cameras and walked around a bit the other day and the grass is all standing up and it's really tough to look for sheds, i sure hope we get some cold temps and snow (8-10") before shed season really gets going. It's been 40-60 degrees the past week or so and the deer aren't grouped up at all.
Well I looked for several hours for the sheds today with no luck. Did catch 2 coons and a beaver though, so it turned out to be a pretty good day.
Had no luck this morning looking for those sheds. I don't know why I can't find them. I know a buck can cover a lot of territory in 7 hours, but I don't think he would've went that far as often as he was coming to the corn. I've probably already walked over 3 miles looking for just this one set. The rest of the bucks are holding on tight. I won't get out again until Sunday, so maybe I can find something then.
Do you have snow? I'm guessing you have just walked past em, i do that sometimes, otherwise I don't know where they would be. I'm guessing the buck didn't go more then 1/2 mile. Thats just my thoughts.
No snow here. I know that they have to be close by. Either I just walked past them or they were just in a position that I wasn't able to see them. I know about where he was bedding at, so I'm just gonna try walking it again on Monday. They have to be somewhere close, or I hope anyways.
Walked 4 miles today on public, no sheds, my dad found a nice dead buck but it's buried in the ice on the river so were going to go back and get it out with a chainsaw soon.
I'm heading out in a little bit to check traps and do some more walking. I checked cams yesterday and nearly everything still has both sides.
