We are definitely going to get some of it. The freezing rain and sleet is supposed to start here about 5:00 today. Then we get the snow tomorrow.

I’m hoping that the warm temps have the ground warm enough that most of the icing melts before it accumulates.

If we don’t lose power and the roads are clear enough to travel I’m heading back to Arkansas Saturday or Sunday.

Of all the things weather can throw at you, heavy icing is the worst.

Ive got about 200# of propane and 20 gallons of gas. Generator is ready. Im expecting to lose power. We usually do when we get considerable icing. Its been icing here for an hour, now its fat snowflakes. Going to mix back and forth then snow all night. I can take snow but you are 100% right, ice sucks.

What sucks for us is that we have a well, so if we lose power we lose water. I have a very small house so I have my two small Yamaha 2000 watt inverter generators gassed up and I have two 5 gallon cans of gas on standby. Those will keep the heat lamps on under the house, keep the appliances running and let us plug lamps in.

I have four seven gallon water totes I use for boondock camping while deer hunting all filled up just in case. It's too bad my travel trailer is sitting in Arkansas. It holds 90 gallons of water and we could keep taking showers and have a toilet to flush.

Here's hoping we don't lose power. We might be going out to the woods to use the toilet chair I use for remote camping.

Was a good season everyone! Hope to be on the same team with some of you next year! (Too bad top three teams can't stay the same and come back for redemption!).

We're in the process of possibly selling and moving. The property is the same property where my husband got his archery buck. It'd be a great opportunity for me to up my archery skills. We shall see!
