Kristen no worries. Life happens. Take care of your “pup”.

I had a couple great encounters yesterday with a couple different shooters. Slow morning today but I hope to be out again this afternoon.
    Good luck everyone.

I’m out here this morning over looking this scrape. These next couple of weeks are gonna be fun. The pre rut chase is on and I laid eyes on a buck that I sure wish would’ve came closer. Sitting here until noon then grabbing a bite to eat and coming back for the evening sit. I don’t think I’ll get to come hunt tomorrow and Tuesday is unknown at this point. I’ll definitely keep y’all posted if something exciting happens.

Kristen, we dont care if you cant get out! This is about meeting people and having a good time. If you cant get out because you have more important things going on then you’ll just have to follow along with the rest of us who can hopefully get out and cheer everyone on. I cant get out very much myself and i totally screwed up my doe entry. If i wanted to be on a serious type of competition it wouldnt be on here! I hope everyone on here does have a successful season but before that, i wish everyone and their families well in what they have going on at home and in their lives that is way more important than a silly deer hunting contest. You take care of that good boy. He needs some lovin. :tu:

Nice work on the ducks. I could have shot a limit of woodies this morning in the timber. Someday if I drop my buck early I’m going to go in there and light em up.

Hey everyone I'm alive and grinding. I've been out a bunch and to be honest I'm not on anything, really but I'll be hunting all week long. Good Luck everyone!

I hunted Fri, Saturday, and Sunday evening and it was slow. Saw the most action last night as the temps came down a little but still too warm to get them running around like fools. Saw plenty of deer on their feet on my drive home. Saw a basket rack 6pointer, a fork, and a spike.

Brandon, were you able to get your new gun in, in time for opener?

Alrighty, I’m back at this evening. It rained for a few hours this morning and we’re expecting more later tonight. I’m hoping that’ll get them on their feet a little earlier tonight. I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

Nothing… absolutely nothing! I feel like it’s time to go back to the drawing board.

Don’t get frustrated Greg. If it was easy it wouldn’t be any fun. Keep grinding and you will create some opportunities. Things are just starting to get good.

Oh trust me, I’m not frustrated. Just starting to think I’m to far away from bedding, or the possibility of not being on one of their main travel trails. I still believe in the area but just hunting over a scrape isn’t my style lol.

I had that issue all weekend. Was forecasted to be a solid NW wind and primarily it was but at times it switched to every direction on the compass.

I hear you. I’m a huge fan of bedding areas. That’s typically my best chance at a good buck. I just have to balance my desire to get in there to the current conditions.
