    Don't think I'll be out the next four or five days, supposed to be mid to upper 70's with south winds. Not good for the rut stands. Going to try to get wood cut and stacked for winter now, so it doesn't cut into hunting time later! Good luck anyone that's going to be out! We can do this!

    I don't have a state buck tag, but I have a bonus public land archery tag for a buck that I will be trying to fill over the next 3 weeks. I'll shoot a doe as soon as it cools back down again.

    I've been OCONUS and offline for most of a week, back tonight, catch up on some work; then my season starts for real Oct 27 - I will be off work from that day through Nov 20; plan to hunt almost every damn day of that or be driving to hunt in another state. A lot of that will depend on weather.

    new moon hitting with the end of October is primo. New moon hitting the last week of October WITH a cold front is ULTRA PRIMO.

    I will be out this weekend on a small piece of private that has a lot of deer going through it. Taking a rut hunt with my dad and a friend to south western WI from Nov. 3rd through the 7th. Public land.
