I know what you mean. Last year there was a time in my tree stand where the smells were awesome, there was a huge birch tree and its leaves were a beautiful gold color, the sun was just coming up! I don't think I have ever been as high on life as that day! Hopefully it will happen again this year. There is just something about being in the woods!!!!

Yeah, when I hunted the Rockies I always climbed to the tallest peak to watch sunrise and how huge and beautiful all is and how small I was. It kind of puts things in perspective. The older I get it seems j enjoy everything more and more.

Bob, if you ever get in that situation again with electronics getting drowned, put it in a dehydrator. It works. My kid had his cell phone go thru a 45 min cycle in a front loading washer. You could see water in the glass. One day in the dehydrator, and it worked. He actually has drowned that phone twice, and both times it was saved using dehydrator. My buddy same thing, left his phone out overnight in the rain, he saved it.

As for cameras, seriously look at the Stealth brand, and not because it's one of our sponsors, but because it takes great pics/videos. This is my second yr using it, no problems.

Cool for the captain position. Thanks all, hope I do right by every one. It's supposed to cool down into the 50s here this weekend. I might try to get out on Thur night.
    Good luck to everyone else.

Hunted from a blind Saturday evening...didn't see anything... Heard tons of coyotes (full moon). Also it was pretty warm out.

Checked a trail cam Sunday...not much on cam except this guy and I'm thinking he's a young buck.

It's still early Matt you still have plenty of time. That's awesome you have been able to hunt the Rockies. The furthest I've been from New England is the mountains of West Virginia. I loved it there. I still have 14 wake ups til bowhunting opens here. Can't wait!
