Yeah Bob good luck! Ill be honest I was kind of disappointed after my first weekend of seeing nothing. However i moved my stand on Wednesday right close to what i believe is a bedding area, hopefully ill get a little more concentrated deer movement. before i just think i was just too "in the middle" not right on a food source not close enough to their bedding area, i now have rejuvenated excitement for this weekend. I also found some of this year's buck sign in that area which is great. How's everyone else's season going so far? I know bob's getting pumped what about the rest of you guys?
I've heard people say they work great. Myself, i use a small bone saw (about 4" with a handle) that works great for me. As you, I am particular about how well my deer is dressed out. I believe that is what leads to quality meat. Poor field dressing = crappy meat. As for me going out, have to wait again till next week, life is in the way again.
Got in the tree last night had a spike show up that was it. Finally getting some decent buck pics since the weather cooled off. Been seeing alot of does. Storms kinda shutting this weekend down. Good luck to everybody.
Hi Bill, ya it's starting to cool off here too. Last night we got our first frost. One of my cameras are getting pictures all at night, hopefully that will change with the cooler weather. Two more wake ups!
Well fellas I laid the smack down on a doe this am! I'm in the stand again now but I'll get the pics and the story up ASAP. Good luck boys!

Yeah man! Great job on your doe harvest. We are on the board and I hope this will drive the momentum for Team "The Replacements".
I finally got out for the first time this year, and it poured the whole time. I got about 14 hours in the woods but nothing was moving at all. Oh well, at least I got to get out.
Alright! congratulations! we're on the board. can't wait to see the pics. I'm hopin to get out Mon a.m. Congrats again!
Well, sunrise is just about 7AM Monday so I'll be in my stand by 6AM. I hope to get this bloody and try out the butt out. I'm bringing my camera for the first time. We'll see what happens. Sent from my LG-P925 using Tapatalk 2
Found a dead buck this weekend that I had on trail cam... Didn't look like there were any holes in him but kind of hard to tell as his stomach was partially eaten out. . This disease has killed alot of deer in my area. This was an older buck with big bases...probably only score 125ish but still a nice mature buck. Irritated
Here she is! came in at about 0640 headed right at me she turned to head down a trail headed out to the meadow she stepped into my shooting lane, i drew and she stopped all by herself(she must have read the script!). I shot and watched my lumenok sail her way and disappear for a second. she made a semi-circle back toward where she had originally come from and after about 30 yards she stopped. i couldn't see her at this point but i knew she hadn't gone very far, then i heard her crash, she moved around for a couple more seconds and i heard no more. It was pretty amazing though, from the moment i shot until she wasn't making any more noise was LESS than ten seconds, she was dead on here feet. I was/am so pumped about that morning, it was a long time in the making! After i had my "stan potts" moment i txted my brother-in-law to let him know he wanted to come help so i crawled out of the stand and headed back to my truck to wait for him. once we went to find her it had been about two hours since the shot and i was already 99% sure she was all done. sure enough we found here right where i last heard her. It was a truly awesome day!
