This state of Minnesota stinks with It's whitetail management. I can only shoot one deer where I hunt. 2 hours away Is the closest area where I could shoot more then one deer. Unless I shoot a decent buck you may not see a doe posted by me till the last week of December when I finally give In. By then these doe's are very tough to hunt as everything Is so educated by the orange army 3 week season so that's no guarantee either. Gotta love Minnesota. Best of luck to all of you this season. Hope It's a successful one but most of all a safe one.
Well, turned up empty this weekend. Only saw one doe while hunting a clear cut edge, she was too far away though. Will be back in November for rut though!!
Today was the first day I could get out. Between my cousin and I we saw 5 100"+ deer with 2 being in the 130 range. That's pretty decent for where I am currently hunting. Neither of us got a shot at any of them. Came out in the middle of the field we were hunting opposite edges of. Putting a new stand up next week. Hope to get a shot at one of the bigger ones as we both plan to pass the 100" bucks.
Lost 10 acres of clover to the drought. Replanted a fall mix Friday just to get thru the season. Got a rain on it Monday so I'm looking good for now. Still waiting on Oct 1
