Looks like heart blood. Should be dead but definitely spoiled if left overnight in this weather.

I mostly went out to practice using my climber and if i saw a nice buck i would take him. Other than that it was too hot to be hunting for me anyway. I usually have plenty of opportunities to shoot does on my private property so that shouldn't be a problem. I'll get you guys 50 points soon, don't worry :)

Yea with it in the high 60's last night and this morning it will be spoiled for sure. I would have went this morning but it's over an he drive and 10min walk to we're I stopped tracking him. I wouldn't make it back in time for my daughters game.

I can't believe that I didn't catch that comment about going back after goose hunting and a football game. Sorry to say but I think that is a little messed up. Current temps are in the 70's in WV and you have a dead deer on the ground and your leaving him. Ethically I would have skipped the goose hunt and found him before the football game.

    Disregard my previous congrats post.

As of right now we are missing 1 person, Amillerhighlife. I posted on the no show list so we should be receiving a new team mate soon. Let's hope he's an active member to our team & is happy to be a part of Team Tag Out!

It was just about dark when I stopped. After jumping him up right before dark I figured the only choice was to leave it over night to let it bed down and expire. I had no choice to stay home this morning only reason I went goose hunting is its 3 minutes from my house and we were done by 7am and my daughters game was @9am. My gd has been sick for the past week and going out in the heat just about kills her so I had to take her to the game. I hate letting the meat go to waste. Since my family pretty much lives off of the meat I harvest.

After 9.5hrs of looking. nothing... Im just now getting back to my truck. Searching 300 acres of dense woods by my self in the rain was tough. it is so thick i couldn't see more then 5-10 feet in any direction. we had severe thunders storms with 60 mph winds and hail today. I could be walking right by this deer and just not seeing it. Im going back tomorrow... Ive plotted my tracks with my gps and have searched a good 100 square acres. Im going back tomorrow and continue looking.

I have never been able to do it through Tapatalk but you are supposed to be able to. I just did it on my computer after I gave up trying.

Welp... 12hrs of searching on a 824 acre farm and I have not found any signs of my deer... Maybe he lived.. I haven't found my arrow either. Searched for about an hour in the soy beans where I shot him and the path he took on the way out..

Hey Dogfish, if you think your deer is dead but you just can't find him I might be able to help if you give me a aerial pic where you hunt and where you shot it at and which way he went.

Dogfish- Unfortunately, I'm guessing you have a shoulder impact. Provided the fact that you don't have an arrow. This would also explain the crashing. He most likely has a useless front leg. I hope that I'm wrong, because this could take a lot longer to expire unless the local coyotes have taken care of things or it'll be a long drawn out death to say the least. If he’s not dead, hopefully you'll be able to find him and put him down fast. He is most likely weak and will be heading towards water. Concentrate you search near water holes. He’ll most likely be laying still and you'll walk right over him. I hope that you find him, as we all know that feeling you have right now.

It was a lung shot from what I seen. Hell should have been doubled lung... I have to be walking over this deer..
