Its finally here for me. Season comes in tomorrow. Been a long time coming. Been watching yall post for a month and just dying to go hunting. Unfortunately, it comes in on a monday and i have to work. But, I should be able to go a few afternoons this week. Hopefully, I can contribute some points to the team soon. We are supposed to have 20mph NE winds tomorrow and a cool front moving in. Might be good. Stay tuned!

Had a shooter at 52 yds tonight. Drew back 3 different times. Never came any closer. Saw two other bucks and 4 does. All were seen early in the evening. 4:45 ish.

Saw a doe and a coyote this evening. No shot on either. Season starting out slow.

Well was a long tough 5 days. Hunted all day Friday, Saturday, Monday and yesterday....all for nearly nothing. Saw some does on some days, other days nothing...but never any bucks. We did get confirmed pictures of that brute on the Swamp Property...nearly missing legal times by our ground blind in the corn (picture taken just feet from shoot lane)....hunting it yesterday morning but he didn't come through...here's a pic of him (coined him "All Wheel Drive") and he is in fact a great 5x5 with also split brows to boot! Then the next picture is another one we got of RD now out of velvet sadly moving at night though...and in the same spot we got a picture of Twin Towers (last picture) another great buck.

Well I went to the swamp property to chase those big boys and just had two yearling does around me ALL NIGHT. Good news is that my father at the homestead property just under mile from where they found 60 dead deer HAD 13 DOES AND A LITTLE 8 COME BY! That is great news if the EHD is around and we're still seeing that many deer.

Should be a good weekend of hunting gentlemen. I went a couple evens this week. Had 13 does on me one evening, but I was on the ground and couldn't get drawn with 26 eyes on me. Went last night and had a small management 3 year old buck on me. Main beams almost grew straight up, had a couple one point coming off them, and the brows were almost as tall as the main beams. Crazy looking dude. He gave me a shot for about 10 seconds at 25 yards and I waited just a hair to long to let it fly.

    Seeing plenty of deer.

Here she is. Yes, its a truck bed pic. Had to con my mother in law into taking the pics for me, and didn't feel like pulling the doe out of the truck just to have to re-load her by myself.
