Early antlerless firearm season starts in 22.5 hours. Will be in the tree with my mathews in the AM. Today is going to be a long day.

You can use the bow? I know some states that have extra firearm seasons exclude bows. If you can, it could be golden for you!! I've learned if you're in a safety area if a lot of people are hitting the woods it can only increase your odds if you can sit tight for a long sit. GOOD LUCK!

I will be hitting it hard again this weekend. This weekend looks like it is going to be better than the last. We just had a big thunderstorm roll through, bringing with it a little colder temps. I am expecting deer movement to be high come tomorrow morning. I think we are supposed to dip into the 40's this weekend. Should make for a good hunt. Don't be surprised to get a early morning text from me Tyni, hopefully it will have a little teaser of antler in it.

Good luck to you Vanhees. I'm really hoping to be the next entry on the scorecard for our team, but I won't hold a grudge if you knock down 50 for us.

I know M3 will have be giving a booner a dirt nap soon, so I gotta get my game on. Good luck to you too M3. Go get em this weekend man.

Yessir, you can use a bow during any firearm season in MI.

I will be going Saturday behind my house and then back down to Vernon on my days off Tues,Wed,Thur. I was finally able to get a camera set up down there last weekend so I'm excited about that. Took the opportunity to put a couple stands up in the pouring rain so should be no scent left behind. I'm no expert at predicting deer movement but this property seems hard to screw up regarding stand placement.

Ryno, Jared good luck to you.

Ryno I like how you've started the friendly competition within the team to score next. Gets my juices going. Brilliant!

Nothing like a little competition inside the competition. Everyone else was thinking it. I just said it.

Honestly I hope one gives you the shot. I know that I will take one if the shot is there.

:D I'll be honest my two main properties I'm 100% purely buck hunting through the rut (if my father I both drop one I'll chase a doe then) otherwise my doe property will be getting some early action in the evenings that first and second week of hunting. Go get them guys! If you do down a doe, just get that thing to the edge before gutting...some say it attracts the curiosity of does/bucks but I say why risk it, the less than know you were there the better. Again only if possible and if in a spot you think you have potential to get a buck.

You know what...why don't you all just get a double (buck and a doe) in one sit and let's add like 400+ points in one day to our score haha!

I thought about the double too. be nice to have two pictures with a buck and doe in the scorecard. In reality I think its a possibility for me.

good luck fellas! no hunting for me this weekend....but i was hanging a last minute set today and had a true blue GIANT walk past the tree while i was hanging the stands....a mid 170's 6x5 with muley split G2s....stand is on the edge of a 40 acre peat bog swamp surrounded by stinging nettle, horseweeds, and thorns....I put my stand up in a crabapple tree about 20 yards inside the horse weeds just offf a freshly picked cornfield....he came out of the swamp and passed 15 yards from the tree...I have never wanted a bow in my hand so bad in my life!!!!

Sounds awesome sharp goodluck on him this year...

7 hours til im in the doe stand...yea!

Picked up a 2.5 acre parcel today on the way home from work knockin on doors. Buts up to a 40 acre wood lot/swamp and an 80+ acre soy bean field. Have no idea about it, havent walked much of it yet(not that that would take long lol) but seems halfway promising! Best part is its 20 mins from work on my hour drive home, good weekday spot at least!

Just had a doe 35 yards. She came in hot. I stopped her at 35, shot and and she ducked. Clean miss. Plenty of deer movement though and time too.
