still kind of disappointed I did not get my number 1, this guy would fit inside of his rack and he has about a foot long drop tine on both sides . call him Mr drop tine to my friends. I got to within about 120 yards of him but could not cover the rest of the gap without spooking him so I had to pass. that one hurt.

I will just have to console myself with chasing world class whitetails now. tisk tisk.

No reason to be disappointed from what I can see. Based on the video you posted, you shouldn't have any problem killing a world class whitetail.

If you do kill one give us some pics of him too. Even though he won't count we still want to see it.

Don't forget you can still put a doe up for us too.

Well boys I put Sask's score/pics up in the scorecard, if it had to be you Sask just be ready to post it over there as well. If his score stands (I told Fitz to check those two measurements you asked if they're correct?) we'll be right up there nipping at some heels fellas!

Shortly after this post my day took a turn for the worst. Getting back to my house around 10am I noticed my 2 1/2 yr old short hair sitting on the stairs with the "don't hate me dad" look on his face. I've seen this many times as he will get into the recycle or the bathroom trash and leave it all over the floor. This time it was my wife's office box, sitting on the bench, waiting to get unpacked as she had started a new job. She was out fly fishing this morning and had left shortly after 7. Long story short my dog got into a bottle of Ibupropen and had eaten several tablets. I knew that it was bad for dogs and hurried to get to the animal hospitol. The doctor broke the news to us shortly after that he had consumed too many pills >75 and his kidneys were already starting to fail after only 4 hrs. There was nothing we could do except put him to sleep. Its been tough to go from having a perfectly healthy dog to burying him within 8 hrs.

Not the opening day I hoping for.

    RIP Jaeger. Love you buddy

So a bad day all around for team 35, I spent all day smoking 60 pounds of summer sausage in 2.5 inch casings, I go to take them out after 13 hours, with the temp for the last while at 250 f, and one roll hooked the dripping tray and spilled a gallon or so of hot oil all over my foot and I got burned, skin is already coming off my foot and half my foot is red and burned...........ouch...FML..

    p.s ouch

If I had to choose between what happened to me and what happened to m3shadle "I would say hand me the oil, ill pour it on myself".

my foot did not blister as bad as i thought it would.........."its just a flesh wound!"

in an effort to bring a bit of happiness back I thought I would toss up a pic of my grub

I cleaned and cubed and ground my deer into totally lean meat, then phoned my butcher friend (who happened to be butchering a pig about an hour after I called so the pork was as fresh as it gets.) and I mixed 41 pounds of venison with 30 pounds of pork.

I bought a couple of those hi mountain Sausage making kits, one was the summer sausage and the other was the cracked pepper and garlic summer sausage,

I had him mix it all the meat in his professional mixer then separated the meat into two thirty pound lots and an 11 pound lot

I chopped up about a half dozen fresh garlic's and split that between the summer sausage, I also split a bottle of whole peppercorns and a bottle of mustard seed into the two sausage mixes. had him mix the two batches separately anp ut into 30 pound bags

then I mixed the 11 pounds with hi mountain hickory stick mix in his mixer

brought it all home and stuffed it and smoked it for 13 hours yesterday with apple and cherry wood

the end product looks like this
