yep the ninja crackhead not good. playing the wind will work out probably. it looks like saturday mornings wind will be ok, but the afternoon it's shifting to out of the north northwest. not good for early season at least not yet.

hunting only saturday. i don't usually hunt on sunday we have church. i will hunt two sundays this year though, october 21st because it's a drawn 3 day hunt and the sunday after thanksgiving (my wife and daughter will be out of town) so we will camp all weekend. i do not get cell service where i hunt, but there will be others close by if i need them.

yes sir only working until noon tomorrow, get home load the truck, wait for my son to get home from school then heading out to the campsite and get set up. if i start seeing hogs i surely will let you know. no guide fees brother you will just have to put up with my company while we try to make fresh bacon.

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been on much. Its been a tough couple weeks at school so far. I'm a junior engineering major at USC and I hunt a few small private places my friends let me hunt but mostly public marshes. I'll be going out for the 3rd time sunday. I've already seen two bucks this year but i was sitting an observation stand and the next morning when I moved in. it didn't work out. Hopefully Ill kill something Sunday night. Thanks guys.
Hey all just another update I havent been out in the woods but only one day since I talked with you guys last. I did'nt have any luck but did see one little buck and 4 does and 2 fawns. It is just too early for me to shoot a doe at the moment. I have been sick off and on for the past two weeks, right when I think I got it kicked it comes back just as bad...? Any how I am feeling about 75% and will be out in the morning looking for a nice buck. I will keep you updated, but like I have said earlier I dont get "serious" until late October! I will however be going out of town on the 10th of October for 3days. It will mostly be a scouting trip for later in the year, but I will spend plenty of hours in the tree on those couple days as well. If I dont check back in for awhile, dont worry I will be back if I have any good news to share! As for the rest of you all Gd Luck!!
Hey guys thanks a ton for the updates. Glad to hear you are both in the woods. Hope you get feeling better MD and hope you both start seeing some good deer. Excited for your next update fellas. I have 7 days. Feels good to be a week away but that means its going to be a long week. Moved some cams the other day (no pictures worth sharing). Moved them into the deeper woods that will be less effected when the pipeline work starts. Found a few rubs and scrapes and kicked up 2 bucks (to far away and running to fast to tell how big) so hopefully my cams will tell me something. It's tough without baiting them but I think I have them in decent areas. Haven't heard back from the pipeline people since we asked them to push it back a month. I'm sure they won't but I'm praying. Anyway, that's my update. Hope Aaron and anyone else that's out hunting are enjoying their time out and hope Johnny is having a safe trip!
hey brother! got back about an hour ago. i saw 2 big does at 9:30 this morning, but they gpt no closer than 65 yards. the biggesst one spotted me, guess i wasn't as concealed as i though. they didn't spook just turned back up the hill they came down. no buck sightings, but not in the right bottom for that the wind was wrong.
just the one that ran across the road in front us on our way to the showers before the afternoon hunt. the bottom we were in during the p.m. hunt not very good for p.m. hunts.
