    Good Morning Team!!

First thing Welcome Michael!! Glad to have you on the team.

Next thing is I had an AWESOME morning in the stand. No I didn't get us on the board with any points but I did see a sh*tload of deer. More than a dozen does and fawns and 11 bucks!! Two shooters. The closest deer to me was a doe and fawn and they where 80 plus yards away. The closest buck was a little 6 and he was 100 plus yards away. About half the deer where in velvet. The biggest buck looked to be about a 3 1/2 year old 8. Medium heavy and about 17 or so wide. The other shooter was a 2 1/2 year old 8 well outside the ears. He was about 350 yards away and I watched him lay down in the cattails in the middle of the marsh.

I will post some pictures from my stand shortly just to give you a view from my world.

Wife bought me a PSE Brute as an early anniversary present. I've spent the last three hours in the back yard trying to tune the darn thing (she bought it from ****'s and surprised me with it, unfortunately they didn't tune it like they should have and I'm catching the devil with it). I foresee a trip to the pro shop in the near future. The groups are ok, but the arrows seem to be tailing a little, so it needs to be paper tuned. I'm just not confident enough to do it without some professional assistance. The cold front moved through here last night, so now it's only 80* outside :p Unfortunately I have to head in to work this afternoon, so no hunting for me until Monday. Best if luck to everyone heading out this weekend!

Yea that bow to your pro shop! Most big box store don't know anything about how to even put the rest and sight on the bow no less time it. That's not saying all if them but most of them.

Well I saw a lot of deer again tonight just no shots offered. Saw my target buck but he was a long way off and with 4 other bucks. I quit counting doe but I would guess 12 plus. Had a doe and 2 spotted fawns at 60 yards broadside but I just couldn't. I'm just an old softy I guess. I'll get the right shot sooner or later and one without fawns or at least spotted ones. I spend too much time glassing and texting with my hunting buddies to keep everyone updated so I apologize for that. I will try to keep this up to date after the hunt.

Well I am back from Indiana, I checked my cameras and for the most part the results were not good. I have tons of pictures of does but all of my shooter bucks have changed patterns and moved away from there summer patterns already. So I moved a few cameras around and hopefully by opening day I will find them again.
I did locate a funnel that I believe they are using to move from a cow pasture to the bedding area so I put up a ground blind and I believe this could be a very productive spot for me.

But the best part of the weekend is really more of a move for my future as a hunter and game keeper. We purchased a new kubota tractor yesterday. It was a package deal that included an MX5100 Tractor, bush hog, 72" reverse tine tiller, Grater box, & 10,000 lb double axle trailer . Up till now we depened on others to lone us a tractor to mow the small pastures we have. I would use our ATV to try and plant food plots which usually don't turn out well because the ground really needs to be worked better. Now that we have the tools I can start to plant plots on a larger scale to keep deer on our property and actually mow our pastures on a more timely basis so they don't get so over grown. Pretty excited about this.

Hey guys! Haven't been to the stand since Friday, but I'm hoping to get out a few times this week. I shot the new bow more this afternoon and here is the result of my last shot.

The down side: now I need to buy more arrows. Question though, would the "male" arrow still be ok to shoot?

NO!! Don't trust that arrow. Damn nice shooting though. The deer in your area are in trouble!
