Team 33 - Whitetail Mafia

Also I like any of those names, Whitetail Mafia, Better Late THen NEver, or Rackaholics. But I am okay with any thing really. I will be hunting some family ground this year for the first time (wife's grandfathers land). I have a few okay bucks on camera so far but nothing spectacular. I would guess my best might be 130 as of right now but I have heard from a couple of the farmers out there that there is at least 1 monster somewhere in the vicinity of this property. Also if you guys come up with a name I personally have Photoshop and could whip us up a nice avatar in no time. So just let me know what is needed and what name, I will be sure to start checking this more regularly now that I am actually on a team!

 

Good deal maybe that monster buck will pop up while your in the stand! We finally have someone that can make a avatar once we get the name down we can come up with an equally as awesome avatar to go along with it.

Well 8 out of 12 isn't bad for a start. Hopefully we will hear from the last 4 tomorrow.

I'm new to the site and never have done a contest like this before but I'm guessing we need a captain first to make the final decision on things. Then a team name and then an avatar.

Is Sunday the deadline for finalizing the team? I think I read that somewhere.

What does everyone think about getting some of this stuff done tomorrow since we have a majority? I don't want to leave anyone out and it would be the right thing to wait for everyone but we may not have that luxury.

Thoughts??

 

I'm still at work and ill update the team name game and who's checked in. All in one post on the first page to keep it easy. I don't outfit it's all my ground or family ground and I have hard antler pics as well

The contest officially begins 15th so tommorrow would great to get everything figured out it on team name and captain! That'll get get us official in the contest and I'm sure the others won't mind about a name or captain. If they're like mist of us they'll be happy they got put in a team!

Mornin Guys.

Here is a couple pictures of one of my big guys. My last chip pull was on 9/1 and everything still had full velvet. Weird considering last year velvet was gone two weeks ago.

I I have a buddy here is IL that has pics of big deer dropping velvet on 9/1. I think it all depends on your locations.

 

I'll be pulling cards on Friday and my season opens Saturday morning so I'll find out soon enough. These are going to be very long days for the rest of the week!

 

yeah I know what you mean. My season opens on Oct 1st but I won't be able to hit the woods until the 4th. that will be the longest couple days knowing I could be in the woods but can't because of work.

Most of my hunting will be done during the weekends. I have used vacation time and have planned 4 different extended weekend hunts I have two 3 day hunts and two 4 day weekend hunts scheduled right now. But that being said if I feel like the deer activity is going crazy during a weekday I can always suddenly develope a nasty 24hr flu bug or something and use a sick day.

We have not choosen a captain or team name yet. As of now a couple of us have nominated jakeratt to fill the position but you are more than welcome to throw your name in the ring. A few names that seem to be popular are Whitetail mafia and Rackoholics.

So far whitetail Mafia seems to me the overall favorite.
