Pretty quiet morning. I had a small doe hanging out under my stand for about 20 minutes. Other then that its been a super quiet morning.

A little rustling coming from my left. A crunching noise coming from the south.

The ladies I work with are really loud...

Hey guys stopping in for an update went to fort campbell and didn't have much luck hunted this past saturday for the season opener at home and didn't see much. I'm planning on getting an evening sit today as soon as I can't get out of work. Good luck and happy hunting let's get some more points on the board.

Welp i was skunked all day i hunted from 0530-1100 then switched to my evening stand got there around 1145 and hunted until dark and didnt see a thing!! i was very excited for t0day and really thought i wouldve seen atleast a doe. I dont think imma hunt in the morning since i only have tommorrow to scout and hang my lone wolf for my draw hunt this weekend. Maybe i'll make it back in time to hunt the evening

The same doe and fawn came back into the field this evening! And this time they did head south right to me stand..they held up at 30 yrds and started east, took the shot the doe and shot right under her! They didnt spook too bad so hoping they stick around for tomorrow evening...first day jitters are now officially out of the way!!!!

I didn't see a thing last night even though I did get yelled at by a doe. I couldn't see her but with the swirling wind I had she knew I was there. Oh well it was still a pretty nice day in stand.

I will be back out this weekend.

Good luck to all those hunting this week. Unfortunately, work will keep me out of the woods until next Wednesday, so I'll be living vicariously through the forum until then. On the bright side, I did pick up last week's doe from the processor this morning. Venison for dinner!

Here are a couple pics of the doe I passed up opening morning. Hopefully this weekend I will see something that passes the tailgate test.

^^ I would have shot it. But that's because I'm not picky when it comes to does.

Got my stand hung at Moraine Hills today. Looks like a great spot you cant look 10 foot without seeing a GIANT Oak tree with acorns everywhere. I set in the back of a hard wood finger with a giant field to my left where i believe them to be bedding and a foot plot to the right granted its 80 yards and i cant see it from the stand but i know ill catch them coming off it going to bed. I jumped a giant doe while scouting. The only bad thing is its gonna be raining all weekend but oh well i'll still be there!

Sounds like a pretty good spot. I doubt the rain will bother you much when your picking up your red arrow and dragging a deer out of the woods.
