Anyone shoot the 2 blade rages? Just wondering if anyone shoots the actual broad head, and not the practice head they give you. Just got in from shooting my new arrows, and field tips were right on, but the practice head was off. So I was thinking about setting up 1 arrow with the actuall broad head, and just shooting that until the season starts. They are the same arrows I have had for a few years, I just put new wraps and new luminocs on.
i shoot muzzys but i shoot all summer with practice tips , then with about a week before hunting season ill shoot a board head to make sure they are hitting where they should
my buddy and my brother shoot the 2 blade rages and the practice tip flys almost dead nut to the actual BH for them. I shoot the G5 tekans and I have to do some small tuning to get mine to fly like my FT.
Sorry about that Melissa. OK so I got us 110 1/4 point. The story goes like this. From first light I was watching a bunch of doe bedding on the hill side. Then around 7am I see movement to my right, Not the side I wanted them to be on. I could only see 3 deer at first 2 doe and 1 little scrub buck. As they get closer about 20 yards, I could tell the big doe was very antsy and she even looked up at me a couple time. Then about 20 yards in front of her this 8 point steps out from behind some trees about 20 yards to my right. As he walked towards me the doe took off running with the other 2 in toe and the 8 stayed behind. As he approached a small hickory tree his vision was blocked from where I was, so I get my bow in hand and get ready. He walks to about 5 yards from my tree and I only had one little window to make a shot in (and I hate straight down shots, I like to double lung my deer) The window was the size of a pie plate right behind his shoulder blades, so i figured the angle of the bolt and let it fly. A nice single lung pass through right though his sternum. He trotted about 30 yards were he leaned against a tree to hold himself up. He went another 30 yards were he dropped right over. I had a nice 50 yard drag to the my brother in laws driveway and off we went home. Now I need to shoot 2 doe before another buck, so these next deer will all be donated to feeding the hungry program from this point on.
Thanks guys. I went ahead and posted 2 pics at different angles for the score card. So we should be good to go.
Great buck man! way to go on getting one early. I finally got some pics of a decent buck near one of my stands, how big would you guys say he is?
alright team i just requested for 2 replacements for our 2 no shows , so well be meeting 2 new team members shortly
considering my buck measured at 110 1/4 I would say this ones is about the same size. Still a nice buck.
Can't wait to meet the new members!!! Also on a side note, I did not make it out today. I was scheduled to take my brother out but he wasn't feeling well so since I took one yesterday, I figured I'd take the day off and sleep, well I slept in until 11am, lol
