The second buck was at 10 yards 2 different times the one I shot I could not have gotten with my bow but I have my cam up and no ones been out there since I shot mine so hopefully he is sticking around that area too much food left on the farm to not hold deer as winter sets in

I'll be making it out in the cold later this week. My #1 buck I'm pretty sure got shot, I'll know for sure when I get home and check the cams. Hopefully my number 2 is still around. Although I think at this point I might let an arrow fly on any 2.5 year old or any doe.

I have my last football game today, so I could be hitting the woods in the am on Saturday and Sunday? Let's hope!

I checked my cams back home today... I've got a decent buck on cam twice and that's it. :( unfortunately I've got a LOT of coyotes on camera. Enough that my non-hunting parents bought me a foxpro caller. Looks like I'll be switching gears for the week and trying to some predator control.

Friday I hunt some conservation land over in the Mt. Zion/Decatur, IL area. Then sat/sun I am going down to the 80 acre farm to the southwest of Springfield, so a doe should go down, maybe two? Who knows about a buck????

Good luck. Looks like my season is pretty much done. I had plans to go hunt with a friend who still has a tag the weekend before Christmas but I got scheduled to work. So that is it for me unless something changes. I tried folks, I tried . Best of luck to those of you that still have the opportunity to get after it.
