Two hours before sun rise here! It is 29 and feels like 19. North wind at 9 mph. I have the perfect spot and I killed a 9 pointer last year from the is area. never sat in this tree last year and nobody ever hunts this area but me. I have seen 4 nice bucks from this area recently. I am usually wrong so I won't post that I know this is the morning. I should drop a nice buck from this area in the next week. Could not ask for a better situation. Good luck to all and especially team 33

I have hay on two sides, CRP on another and a bedding area to the last, with pond. Did have one blow on the way in and another passed at 50 yards. Nice shot. Got out Sunday morning, saw a 6 pointer and 3 fork horns. Rattled in one fork and he came flying in like a bat outta hell.

deer activity on the farm I got permission to here in northwest MO has been slow at best all year. Since September 15th I have seen 9 deer total this past week produced 6 of the 9 I have seen. I talked to the landowners nephew who use to hunt the ground quite often and he said that in the past he would see up to 15 every sit easily then blue tongue hit the area pretty hard and the property has never been the same. It is the only property I have to hunt unless I go back to public ground which I have tried to get away from up here and I have trail camera pics of really good bucks on the property but a lack of does and all pictures are middle of the night. Anyone have any thoughts as to what I should do I have had one day light encounter with a nice 8 point that was Saturday morning and I have had a couple bucks chasing does by the stand before shooting light should I keep putting in the hours for a slim chance or split my time between some public ground and this farm?

Well I haven't seen much until this weekend. Rut is starting to pick up so if you have regular pics of good bucks then I would keep putting in the time. They will start moving around during daylight now

I'm thinking if you have bucks on camera keep hunting. Don't get lazy about it but keep hunting smart. They will start moving in daylight more often. Just keep hunting. You know they are there. Be patient. One is bound to make that lethal mistake soon.

Wack, you have some bucks I would love to shoot. Stay out there. All day sits if you can....the next five days will be key! If you need me to drive over and help you hunt them, I could make an effort.

Haha ya I have 17 different bucks that visit the farm for sure and 7 are deer I'd love to have on the wall. I sit every evening and every morning and evening on weekends just not seein much. Tonight seemed perfect but still no activity. I have tomorrow off and will be in the stand most of the day see what happens.
