Passed on a 110ish whitetail yesterday off the ground. Too small. I'm just about done hunting for myself for a while with the exception of a few doe hunts. I'll spend time helping my wife fill her tags.
That's a good looking buck Illinois. I went out tonight but didn't see a darn thing... Coyotes are THICK in my area.
Hunted this morning with the wife, had some activity ... Ready for the big dogs to show http://youtu.be/ndJ6Y2otNqE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Saw a few young bucks this weekend but overall kind of quiet. The corn is really starting to come out now, so that should help things. What broadheads are you all using? I've been using slick tricks but after seeing a buddies doe shot with a killzone, it was impressive both in wound and blood trail. I borrowed one and they sure fly like darts but I've never used a mechanical before. Heck of a spot there polecat. Do you have any target bucks visiting this spot?
Ugh, this has been a frustrating few weeks. First my daughter got sick 3 weeks ago, and has been sick for the last 3 weeks, then I got sick Friday afternoon, and was throwing up all weekend. Hopefully now that we've all been sick, we can have a healthy few weeks, so I can get out into the stand more often.
I shot my first buck ever last year with a killzone. No reason to change. He didn't make it a step past 40 yards.
3 blade Muzzy's for me As far as target buck, I do have a couple of deer I'd like to get a better look at Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Mix of rage 2-blade and Killzones. I have the rages and dad has the killzones, both look to be about the same.
Not that I've been helping much, but us and team 28 are the only teams with nothing posted. Been out 5 times already and ain't seen anything shootable. As a matter of fact, the only thing I have seen is a bunch of squirrels!
Well we are the no show heroes! We're just biding our time until we strike. I'm off from work November 2-11, so somethings gonna fall
