Good looking deer man. A nice 140ish 8 point was hit by a car less than a mile from one of my hunting spots two nights ago. I also have a 17 acre bean field I haven't had the time to make it out to. Dad said there was an abundance of "human-like" poop all over. Sounds like ill head out there on say evening

It's tough hearing about a great buck getting harvested by a car instead of a hunter. At least he's likely not the only one in the woods. I'm thinking if you spend enough time around that bean field you're gonna whack a monster! Bucks love the beans!
Oh yeah I agree. Going out once more tonight to place a little corn for the does and trim bushes around a tree from my climber. 2 more days!!!! I can taste it already
nice buck! i'll stick with my original guess and put him in the mid 130-140 range. very nice looking deer. I like how close the end of his beams come to touching. Hope to see you thump his heart very shortly.
Do you think he's 2.5 or 3.5 though? I'm going to let him walk this year. I want to let him breed as many does as he can. I want his genes around
I guess he's a 3.5 year old just by body and rack. I'm not sure what the deer typically look like in your area or how well theyre fed, but he's certainly a dandy. If he sticks around for another year he'll really be a giant.
I live in Ohio. I am willing to bet he's 2.5. I have had quite a few people around here look and they think the same thing. Monsters grow around here

Buddy is running late. Woke his *** up when I got to his house. Should be in stand in 30-45. Time to make it happen
Well today I saw over 30 deer. All but two were does or fawns. Closest one was 15 yards but was on edge. Her and I did the stare down fr 10 mins before she left Hope to get out tomorrow

How'd we finish out the weekend fellas, anyone kill anything? I know a bunch of you open up tomorrow, good luck! I wont be in the tree again until october 8,9, and the morning of the 10th. I'm going to get a few mock scrapes going and try to put a pattern on that big 10. He's been spending a lot of time on the quarter section east of us according to the landowner. He's a trophy hunter and wants bucks 200" or better so the buck should be safe. Hopefully a few hot acrapes will get him traveling back on us long enough for me to filet his heart and lungs.
Ill be in the stand tomorrow afternoon after my class gets out. Im so excited i dont know if ill be able to sleep!!
