I goose hunt a couple times a year, I live by the Chesapeake Bay near Elk river and some years can be amazing and others the geese come late and its real slow.

If I lived where you did I wouldn't even know what deer hunting is!!! I'd be killing ducks every day I could. Then again I know MD is a sleeper state!

I grew up duck and goose hunting and did that many years before I started hunting deer, but once I shot my first deer that became my new passion! We had a beaver pond that flooded back into the timber and it was best wood duck hunting I have ever seen and still today have not found anything like it.

Hunting implies the possibility that you might not be successful. No, this looks more like what Chuck Norris does, he goes killing!

Goose opens Monday here, teal the 6th. Then we get two weeks in late Oct/early Nov. Then mid Dec-late January. That's when I love killing them!

Nice boat! I imagine Ohio is great for ducks and geese. Ya right now the birds are coming down from up north. Everyday the fields are getting more populated. We only get to shoot geese next week. Then ducks open at end of September. Then they stay open pretty much through late January. I'm sure I'll have opening day pics late September for ducks. I'm seeing a lot of ducks now though as well, which is early for us. I think a lot of folks are going to be shooting the late ducks this year. If there already here you guys should start seeing them soon. Problem is were not allowed to shoot them yet. If we did none would make to you guys LMAO.

PS nice boat! We picked up a second hand aluminum boat. My buddy is currently giving it a paint job.

We did the same with a 16" jon boat. Gutted it and replaced/repaired a bunch on it, then slapped home made mud motor on it for when the river floods all the crop fields.

Basically a corvette engine with enough power and propeller to push its way right through mud lmao.

It use to open on the 15th as long as I can remember, but about 2 years ago they started the season on the 1st Friday after Labor day. It gives me a better chance at getting a velvet buck!

Yeah I started getting a buck on camera with shed velvet. I shot a buck on opening day last year that still had some velvet and blood on his rack, and got a pic of him the day before with full velvet.
