You guys have some Great Bucks on your camera's. I haven't seen anything that good. I've been traveling alot for work so hope to get back to Nebraska and get some more shooting in before season. Planning on a couple vacation days try to get a doe early.

Pulled one chip today. Got a lot of daytime pictures of this buck. I live in a CWD zone in WI and have an Earn-a-buck sticker, so he is a definite shooter for me. I'm thinking he'll be in the 140's. Anyone think different? Pretty sure he's out of velvet in the last couple pictures (I've always been hoping for a velvet WI whitetail) Anyways, I'm hoping he decides to show up on the evening of Sept. 14th in WI!

well I have checked the trail cameras 3 times now... about 3 weeks in between each check... and I would love to post some of the monsters i have on camera... if there were any that is. I have about 15 pics of Corn blowing in the wind. 20 pics of tall weeds blowing in front of the camera. A squirrel literally on top of the camera. and a pic of two raccoon's doing the dirty. I would post that pic but I don't think it is legal in my state.....

Sigh... Life goes on and it is still early!!

    Dear Team,

The greatest time of the year is upon us. Opening day is right around the corner and the cool damp weather is beginning to roll in. I have noticed that we have some newer guys on here that are embarking in this great competition for the first time. If you were on other teams they might tell you to not get caught up in the "points" aspect of the competition and just go out and have fun... To that I say Nay!!! We will WIN... There are no other options!!! If you are having fun that means you are not trying hard enough!! If we do not come out on top I will be the first to point fingers and call you out.... (Unless I am the reason we lose). Soon I will be sending all of you programs to hack into peoples pics to turn their 150 class into a Fergi clause. Use it wisely and use Ninja maneuvers to stay stealthy. You can also use this program to throw a couple points on your own deer.

I will leave you with a quote from one of the greatest men of all time Grandpa Mori Shintaro: "Remember, (12) strands of rope, apart you can snap, but together (we) can be strong, now get out there and kick butt!!!"

I got out yesterday to finalize a few stands and pull cards and the buck I've been looking for all summer has finally shown himself. This is a deer I've kept under wraps since 2009 and I think this is the first time I've posted a pic of him in public. I believe him to be at least 8 years old this year, if not 9. He's a big main frame 10 point that's probably been pushing 170"+ since 2010. From year to year his rack seems to stay the same.

I've yet to see him on the hoof or find any of his sheds but FINALLY feel like I'm piecing together his "core" area. A one-off chance on a trail cam in a new area last year clued me into where I believe he spends his summer/early fall and an extra camera in that area confirmed it for me this summer. Now that I'm pretty sure I know where he's at I need to hang a couple more stands and will confine all of my efforts to this specific area in hopes of killing him.

Sorry for the bad pics - he was pretty far away from the camera and I had to crop/brighten quite a bit, but you get the idea. October can't get here quick enough!!

Well my season started out great in Wisconsin. Deer season isn't open but bear season was. Last night sat and harvested a great bear. He was not able to be weighed but everyone that I was with and that have experience bear hunting says he was approximately 450 pounds live weight and upper 300's for dressed weight. It was an absolute rush.

Been there, done that! I've had a lot of pics this summer of the farmer cutting and spraying the hay fields. Just recently I had 1400+ pics of the corn blowing back and forth in the wind. Gotta love trail cameras!

So are you hunting local in the 'burbs or do you travel?

So now I have to figure something out. My cousins buddy shot a great bear last night that weighed 445 lbs. My cousin also informed me that the bear that I got Sunday was bigger. So I wonder how big the bear I shot actually was. Does anyone have any ideas on how to find out the weight after taking it to be skinned and cut up?

I hear ya. Hunting local can be good if you've got the right spot but it can also be a pain with trespassing, theft, etc.

I know of a few decent public spots in NW IL close to where we hunt that you may want to consider if you get time. One of them is within a few hundred yards of our lease where we've got multiple deer over 150" so I know for a fact there's an opportunity to kill good deer there.

Only saw one little buck opening day here in WI. Might get back after it tonight if the rain quits.

Season kicked off here in Missouri with me sitting on the sideline . Finally had to start using a crossbow this year and I went to finish sighting it in Saturday and the scope went haywire on me .

I did go watch 1 of my stands from the road this morning and seen 10 bucks anywhere from small - 150s . It was good to finally see some of them , I was starting to worry about EHD or something .

Will hopefully have my bow fixed this week .
