I know they've had them down in Fulton/Schuyler county for a while now, and I've heard reports of guys seeing them on our lease in Jo Daviess county as well. Haven't seen any personally but I'll keep my eyes open. If one walks by me I'll be making some bacon. :tu:

Awesome job man! That's a great buck.

Another slow weekend for me. Only 2 sits - Saturday AM saw zero deer, last night saw a few does too far to shoot and had a 1 1/2 year old walk out at 8 yards. Hopefully the colder weather gets them moving soon.

Congrats on the buck! Sat Sunday evening and saw 0 deer. When I walked out there were a few out in the chopped corn field. There was 1 nice buck out there and he spooked. I will have to figure out a plan for that area to get in and out. We need some cold weather. I have 9 cameras out and I checked 6 and have no shooters on camera yet. Hopefully some mature deer get on there feet soon.

Congrats on the buck! I got my cameras out and scouted a few areas on Sunday. Saw 4 doe and fawns and 1 small buck. Excited to get back out there in a couple weeks! I'm heading to South Dakota on Friday for a week long Mule Deer hunt too!

He ended up scoring 108 6/8, not a monster but he's my biggest yet and I'm stoked about him. As far as deer activity goes I haven't seen much at all. I've only seen deer on three hunts out of the seven I've been on. I guess I was lucky enough to get a dumb one to walk by but, for now I'm hoping that cooler weather will be heading this direction before too long to hopefully get the deer up on their feet more. Good luck to you fellas this week, be safe!

Here's a pic of the one I'm after from last week coming out of the woods right at last light. Few more days of cold weather and I'm hoping these pics will start to be during daylight hours. :tu:

I am sharing your problem. Sat a couple more times this past weekend and it was very slow. Sat Friday night and saw 1 buck and Sunday night saw a handful of doe come out into a bean field farther away. This maybe the slowest start to a season I have seen as far as deer movement and I have yet to have any close encounters with a deer.

Got skunked today. Every body thought it was a good ideal to cut their lawns today.

I was skunked last night as well. I thought for sure something would be moving - conditions just seemed right.

Good luck this weekend. It is going to be a great weekend here in Wisconsin, cold front pushing in, a chance for some snow, overcast pretty much all weekend. Get after em.

    Nanny whacked.

18 yards distracted by the neighbor's barking dog. Poor mommy never saw it coming. 50 yard pileup.

    Buck time.

Great job everyone!!! It has been slow here in Indiana but the temps are dropping and things are starting to get a little interesting... I had that same buck I saw earlier in the year chasing a doe!!.. Not full out chase... but enough to make it obvious that it was more than just playing around!!! This Wednesday the high is supposed to be in the 40's!!!

    Good luck everyone!!!

    Shoot Straight!!!!
