Here in Northern IN the corn is definitely turning colors and the ears are drooping. I saw many farmers today cutting corn for silage. Lucky for me, we planted some of our fields a little later and they are just now starting to get a lil brown on them, so I should have some good hunting for a while ;). Oh and if you go to "Settings" you can change your avatar to a pic but it has to be smaller than so many mega bites. I'm gonna try to start a mock scrape tonight, never have before in my life so this is gonna b a learning experience!

I will be going to my farm on Friday so I will let you guys know if the corn is being cut for silage. Its definitely turning colors though. This year will be better in my opinion, crops are coming out early, deer wont be sitting in these large ag crops forever. Last year, surrounding corn fields werent cut till the third week of November...

Hey guys, CFStinger here. Have been crazy busy getting last minute bow activities done getting ready for start of MN archery this weekend. Haven't heard if I missed deadline to join, but if all good, I'm ready and set to join and get active on our board. If the captain could reply ASAP and get me up to speed I would greatly appreciate it. Happy to be here, and even more happy to start climbing trees this weekend!!

Glad to be here guys. Here's my rundown. I live in and hunt around Cannon Falls MN in Goodhue County. I shoot a PSE Stinger at 26.5" and 70#, Easton Bloodline arrows, NAP Killzone Tropy Tip broadheads, and ScentBlocker Freak Nasty head to toe. Trail cam picks for bucks are always weak here as I hunt a stretch of river bottom that is pretty wild and remote. Been scouting with Binos last few evenings and have begun to see a few good one's hitting our hay.

Once again, great to be here, can't wait till the Saturday morning kick off here in MN, and can't wait to start sending some sticks down range!! Good luck all, and feel free to drop me a line anytime about anything!!

Yeah 83+ degrees is gonna be a warm opener. Think I will only sit for the morning tomorrow. Good thing I got a friend with a walk in cooler, because I am planning on shooting a doe (specifically one we have named Snitch) if one comes by.

Glad I am not the only one with a less than stellar start. Wife is out late at bachelorette party, two kids go down easy, third puts up a fight from 12-12:30 until the wife gets home and I don't fall asleep until well after one.

Wake up realize after I climb up the tree I will fall back asleep and awaken to find my self hanging by my harness and call it a morning and go back to sleep.

Now, I WILL be getting some sleep tonight and I WILL be going out tomorrow morning. Weather for next week here in MN is sounding spectacular. Highs from 58 to 64 all week, frost Monday night, with some weather moving in for weekend. Crops in the last two days here have been coming out fast. I am off work the week of 9/24 (specifically for deer hunting and deer hunting alone!! hell yeah!!) and will be pushing hard. May be picking up an additional 60 acres by mid-October, will have to wait and see. Then off work again last week of October (before first week of MN gun season), which tends to be a very eventful week for deer up here. Lots going on for the good. Good luck guys, lets smash some deer!!
