Had a good chance to take a doe this morning...had to be at work by 9 so I just got out of my stand at 8:40, was walkin out and comin into the woods was a doe! She took off back across the bean field. I was kickin myself. 10 more minutes and I woulda had a slickhead down...I guess thats how it goes.

As soon as I got int the tree I was serounded by deer. Of corse sence shootin light hit nothing!!!! Afternoon was saposed to be the time to hunt today anyway good luck!
Well I messed up went to a hedge row stand Thinkin its away from my normal normal spot I take off walkin not thinkin its a mile away and Im a fat azz! Next thing I no id im in the tree the wind is wrong and im sweetin my butt off dang!
Glad to see you guys were able to get out there. I wont be hunting till friday- monday. So Im pumped to say the least! Nice buck skillfull!
Well didnt see anything but a P&Y house cat! The good news is I got 4 buddys that killed this morning within 30min of shooting light. I had some does this morning but didnt get a shot. Guess ill be back at it thursday depending on the wind.
I've had this happen to me to! I went out on a morning hunt in November and 2 hours prior I had a 160" chasing a doe on camera... Its about the right time and right place when bowhunting.
Last year I hunted a morning set and when I left pulled my SD card, less than 15 minutes before getting into the stand I had about a 150 inch in front of the stand....Gotta love it
That is a good buck Skillfull!! Now, work your namesake on him and make it happen!! We are really starting to see some. Saw the buck we have been after for three years again this past week for the first time this year. I put my trail cam back in his neighborhood, so hopefully will catch some images to show you guys. Rough guess is 170". DON'T get worked up though. He is seen after dark only, and with four of us hunting him the past three years and him never goofing up, I don't see him getting shot this year either. I would however, really like some good trail cam pics of him. I'll pull trail cam tomorrow night and put it in another location, so will update you guys with pics tomorrow night if I have any. Won't be sitting until Saturday am, and we have a massive cold front coming in MN. Tomorrow 80+ degrees, weekend 47-52 with nights in the upper 20's. Should be some magic happening this weekend one way or another. Talk to you all later, go kill'em when you can and be safe!!
