Cole your on fire bud. Looks like a couple of sets. Man Im right heavy this year. Almost all rights except sets.
I haven't been out there yet, I'm not sure if I will or not. It seems like EVERYONE is out there, and I cant figure out where I can park lol. I have just been hitting the spots I hunt. I'm up to 21 sheds and 3 dead heads so far. I'm the exact opposite, I have only found 6 right sides lol. Even the first dead head I found was missing a right side I went out again this afternoon, but no luck on finding anything. Thanks for all the congrats everyone
Man, some of you guys are spoiled!! I can't believe all of the sheds some of you are finding. Congratulation's on the finds all!! We've still got about a foot of snow here yet and probably a good 2 feet In the woods left yet. It will be a while before I get back out to do some looking.
Heading out in the morning and then I fly out to Jamaica on Sunday EARLY morning for a week. I will not get back out until next weekend! I hope to find a couple more but I think my time is coming to an end but you never know!
13 hours I leave for Jamaica so I will catch up with you all when I get back! Nothing found today but saw two young 1 to 1 1/2 year old deer with full racks! Other than those two I did not see any deer with antlers. I did not find one either so maybe next weekend when I get home from my vacation!
Spent another 6 hours in the woods today with no luck. Heading to a buddies farm tomorrow, should have better luck.
I never made it out to the farm today, instead I spent about 4 hours in a section of woods behind my house that I haven't hit yet. My gps tells me my 3 day total was around 15 miles, and one shed. Not sure if this counts, but a shed is a shed right? +1 for team 3.
had a good 3 hr walk on my private farm. i found a dead head, 1 five point side (not chewed), a turtle shell, 2 chewed sheds (identifiable), 2 pieces of a rack (found in different areas). so im hopefully good for +5.
First thing I want to say it was nice to get back to shed hunting BUT Jamaica was THE BOMB! We are already planning our trip back. I was sporting the Bowhunting.com T-shirt and hat all week and had a few people ask about it and talk hunting. I met a great guy from Canada and one from Colorado that will be checking into the site. It was a great time! Here is a pic of the wife and I with a Red Strip Beer in my hand and some of a antler I found yesterday. It is a brake off antler.
I found a match set about a week ago, just haven't gotten around to getting it on photobucket until now That puts me up to 23 sheds and 3 deadheads for the year, and that is probably all I will find. Archery turkey season opens in 4 days here, so unless I stumble upon one I'm done for the year.
Good times were had dawg by the sounds of It, good to hear! I need one of those vacations myself. Snow Is getting down there slowly. We've got right around a foot or so left In the woods. In the next week or so I'll be marching back out there.
