I am going to go jump in a drift tomorrow to see where my deer have herded up so that I can B-line for that area when snow goes down some!

Got out for about a 2 hour walk on Saturday, but mostly to scout a new potential lease. No active food on the property right now, so not much potential for sheds. With this deep snow the deer are herded up pretty good around whatever food they can find.

Hopefully after this stupid snow melts down a bit I'll be able to get out some more.

Started feeding the deer alfalfa being we've got 3 to 5 feet of snow In most places where I live and hunt. I was hoping maybe a buck would drop his sheds there too. Had my trail cam over the one pile. My brother checked the cam yesterday and got pics of a 3.5 year old 8 point with both sides that I passed on 4 times this year. 3 hours later this same buck came back again but this time with only one side. My brother called me and told me this and went out looking. Sure enough he found It. My bro robbed us a shed. ;)

I walked another 6.5 miles today, but no sheds unfortunately. I walked up on a group of 7 does bedded down in a drainage ditch, and bumped 4 bucks. Only one buck had a rack, the rest had all shed. Im trying my best, but no luck on sheds yet. Just give me time lol

Beat him up and take the shed away . That is perfectly legal and ethical if it is your bother, cousin or best hunting buddy !! :D Congrats to him on the shed !!

Went out this morning and all I have to say is "Snow Snow go away bow season is OVER for now!" Way to much snow yet and was just hoping to find a shed on top with no luck!

I walked another 8 miles today, but no sheds to show for it. I checked my cameras, and I had a lot of bucks with full racks and a couple with half racks.

It was extremely nice today though, temps somewhere around 60. Sure was nice to get out and get some exercise with the dog :tu:

Calling for the 40's and 50's all week so I am ready for all this snow here to go bye bye! Hope it is all gone by this coming weekend so that I can get about a 5 hour walk in.

Well, Dawg is now out of the dry spell! I found one heck of a bedding area that produced one shed and found a buck that had shed his horns and now is yote meat! It was a young buck and not good to see while shedding for sure. Here is the shed that I found! I think it will be scored really high but we will see. LOL

I have a nice pile going so far. Season just getting started. I am taking out my daughter again this weekend and I will trade my whole pile for her to find her first! That is without my help too!

walked about 3 miles today. tons of EMPTY beds, tons of deer WITHOUT headgear, heavy trails, creek crossings, fence crossings, fields, and waste high grass...no sheds. there's always tomorrow!
