Hey guys! Just got back from 10 days in Colorado. Shot a nice cow at 35 yards just a little back and unfortunately didn't recover her. I knew it was a liver shot and waited as long as I thought I could being 5 miles up the mountain. Followed good blood and bumped her and she went crashing down the mountain. I elected to back out and hike back in the morning but lost blood. Frustrating for sure. I had bulls all over but just couldn't close the distance. It was a great time and I caught a lot of trout to bring home. Now my focus is waiting on that first big cold front in October.
