Hearing some movement now. Sounds like they are coming this way to the corn pile. Hopefully they stick around for awhile. Can't see them but it sounds like 4 or 5 coming this way.
They veered off and passed by at about 40. From what I could see, it looked to be 2 good sized does, 2 fawns and a small buck.
Oh yeah, it's getting a little crazy now. Looks like 2, 4 year olds squaring off and going at it about 60 yards down the hill trying to grunt them in but they are in full fight mode. Gonna try a snort wheeze and see what happens. They look to be anywhere from 130 to 150.
Group of does coming and those bucks are chasing them now. Crazy action going on. No shot opportunities yet.
Here they come again. Looks like that taller 8 I saw the other day has joined them. He's definitely only a 2 year old. Gotta go in case they get close.
As much fun as it's been this morning, it's also frustrating at the same time. Knowing I have to get it done by Saturday. Most of my life I've had the whole season to hunt. I just need to try and relax, soak it all in and let it happen. With all this action I'm bound to put something down.
Heading back in. Definitely was a fun morning. Had a couple moments where I thought it was going to happen then it didn't. Going back out a little earlier today, with all that chasing going on maybe I'll get lucky this evening.
Heading back out now. Should be in the stand and all set up by 2:30. May do some LFTS, have that feeling about this evening.
Just took out a doe. Saw her go down. I'm not going to get her, but here's my arrow. With all the chasing going on this morning, I'm heading back up in the stand. I feel it's about to bust loose real soon here again.
Oh boy, here comes that taller racked 8. Even though he's only a 2 year old if he gives me a shot I'm taking him out.
