Bought this expensive ass hat and they through in a bow. Ended up getting the phase 4. It shoots nice I might be out in the morning with it.
I did make it out hunting sunday afternoon. The spot I wanted to hunt was ruined by a really big ole oak that fell so I moved to another spot. I decided to hunt on the ground in a deadfall. I had a spike come by me then a while later a forkhorn buck. Later I heard a buck make a scrape behind me and then he walked by me at 27 yards but he was a borderline shooter so I passed. I then had to fend off a possum that wanted to sit in my lap in the deadfall I had to use a stick to convince him it was a bad idea as last light was upon me I looked and could see a shooter buck silloutte but he was to far away and it was getting to dark. I did jump a bedded doe on the way in and when I was approaching the area I wanted to hunt I could see a doe walking around so I just took a knee and watched her walk off in the distance, so overall I had a good hunt.
Saturday morning I plan on sticking to the conservative approach that I have been, but Saturday afternoon, I’m going to get a little more aggressive and push in on a bedding/staging/ travel corridor. Hell, I don’t know what it actually is. Accessing through the ravines on the finger ridges (white). Wind is supposed to be WNW (blue). I’m hoping my scent (pink) either blows back up the ravine and pools there, or the thermals carry it around the creek and scent follows the bluff.
Congratulations on your hat. Got me a green one last year before the V3 Gen 4 came out. Love the bow. Hope you do, too.
Ain't that the truth. Then Tony Peterson will have a podcast come out 2 days later explaining what I did wrong, why I am an idiot, and shouldn't get mad at myself.
