I know one things for certain, he's an exaggerator

Bucks walking 100 yards away are really 60.

20 mile away rains turn into 10, which really are on top of them. ;)

Great video Todd. Way to stick that doe. On to the next victim....

I think I just read the most disgusting thing I have ever seen. Just the thought of drinking Tinks is almost enough to make me puke. That is terrible.

A shot of Tinks each day keeps the doctor away!

Aint it though! I had a friend that had a archery shop in Madisonville Ky, we had another buddy that would hang around there and he would keep a Tinks bottle full of tea on the counter, strike up a conversation with a costumer, reach over and undo the lid, drink it, and then make a face! He is gone now, probably what killed him, I dont think you can ever get one of them bottles clean!

Any points for getting a new bowhunter his first kill???? I got a buddy out yesterday morning for his first ever cross-bowkill, waiting on a bow that is in the mail, so he can start shooting but he'll probably be shooting them with the crossbow for at least a little while until he feels he's proficient with a bow. Sliver, they do have medicine for that disorder you know!!! :d

Now that would be pretty funny but I don't think you can ever get it cleaned out enough first. Still disgusting!

well, things are lookin up, my dad's been out scoutin for me down in AL at some of our food plots, right now there is a mid size 6pt close to the house (gonna turn my oldest boy loose on that one) and he's been spottin a few 8/10pt bucks in the area, he estimates to be about 3.5-4.5yr old... the bad news is this, shooter bucks down there rarely break 130... but we gots BUTTLOADS of slicks down there... I could easily bag 2-3 does in a weeks time, and imma be down there for 2 wks... granted, I'm going to concentrating on getting my oldest his first buck before I go after mine... he's been practicing in the basement and has his bow finally up to the 40lb minimum so he can yank back on a buck... originally we were gonna try to get him behind his 243, but looks like he's gonna try the bow for his first deer, i'm excited...

just got word from my dad, he's been out scouting our land down in AL, they spotted a monster AL buck... he estimates that it will gross about 140-150ish, that is literally as big as the typicals ever get down there... I've seriously only heard of a few that have gone bigger in that area... my uncle is gonna be on the land with the rifle for about 6-7 days before i get there (weekends between now and december 15)... but they won't be rutting until about the time I show up... then I get about 7 days on the land by myself before he'll get back there... say your prayers gentlemen...

weather has been VERY uncooperative... very windy, very rainy... and very warm... today was in teh stand and it was 71 degrees this afternoon... spose to have a cold snap headed this way... the deer have been scrapin such pretty good... lotsa big scrapes they are tending to... figure the next cold snap we get should push 'em over the edge into rut... overall movement has been low during daylight hours, lotsa deer out here but they are stayin hidden during the day... gonna try a morning run tomorrow and see if it helps...

tag soup for me this year... after a week in the stand I gave up on getting one for myself and spent the rest of the time helpin my boy get his first... he drew up on a BIG 6pt but he had a bit of buck fever and didn't squeeze off the shot before it ducked back in the woods... he also passed on a couple other deer cuz he wanted somethin bigger... he showed some amazing maturity... we had a "management buck" that popped out two days in a row and he wouldn't take it and he wouldn't let me take it either cuz he was paranoid it would run off 'his' buck... not bad for a 7.5yr old... all in all a good hunt nonetheless...
