Don't get cute chumps, you will be owned this year. With a lineup as mint as Dink, Jeff, Kyle, Al, and yours truly....I would be nervous as well. Fear not though, that feeling is normal in a predicament such as the one you find yourself in. I have a hard time accepting defeat as well....ESPECIALLY before the dern thing even begins, that HAS to suck.:d

Now that that is out of the way, Lets sign in here guys.

    Bloodcrick

    Kyle
    AL
    Me (I'm here BTW)

I don't care who is captain...I would rather not be captain, unless everyone else feels the same and we need someone to do it...I just don't feel like messing with it.:busted:

I nominate Dink or Jeff, seing as Al is runnin the contest and Kyle is runnin the arch nemesis contest.

I noticed that too Jeff. You, Kyle, and Dink are all 100% bow only (I think). Al said he is hungry for a bow bird, and from talks I know he has plenty of birds to work with up there. I will be 90+% bow only here in KY, and if I luck out to kill a bird in AL first, I too will be 100% bow only back here in KY.

I am excited to get out in the woods. Still a month or so early to start scouting for spring season, but I can't wait to get out and listen for my first gobble of the year!

Im going to place my nomination for Dink.

And i'll be out with the bow 75% of the time. I generally always take out the bow when im hunting by myself. If im with someone else im usually trying to get them a bird, so I just carry the gun.

Man I cant get over how much that sucks Kyle. I'll be hunting 5 days, per week for the first two weeks. Then 7 days a week for the next two. That still never feels like enough!

OK OK, since your pointing fingers at me i guess ill accept the captn spot :hater: :d Man I think our team is killer looking ;) I have been seeing tons of birds already. I even found the holy grail of roost sights the other day while looking for sheds. I kid you not it is the size of a football field and is just riddled with droppings and feathers from pitching up and down, Its a massive pine grove on top of a high wall over looking water. Team name ideas????? Ill throw one at ya. how bought the fab five

Dink, is here....AND he can count...impressive. :)

I was over at Daves house this afternoon, getting some calls for this season and reviewing footage from last spring. MAN, I suck. LOL First time I had seen the footage from my miss, I have never seen a turkey that close on footage, much less then MISSED. I was shook up afterwards, laughingly exclaiming "I shot right under him." When the footage CLEARLY showing the arrow sail right over his back. :) After seeing some of the footage we laid down, I am STOKED...spring can't get here quick enough. But man, I am ready to roll.

That jake is a gobbler now, and he is going to meet his match in a few months. LOL

Also, picked up a PRIME 200 acre piece and another 100 acres up against the Green River. Both are my Great Aunt's pieces that she leases for deer hunting...never thought about asking about turkey season until now. No one hunts it, until Me this season. From past fishing/camping excursions there last spring, there have ALWAYS been multiple gobblers there in the spring. In fact, I have never been there at daybreak anytime of year without hearing birds on roost. I KNOW I will be in birds there, but killing one may be another matter. Not sure on the 100 acre parcel, never stepped foot there, but being river bottom woodlands, I imagine there will be birds to work there as well. I am about as excited for this season as one can possibly be. Probably looking at 20 days afield this spring, no excuses for me if I strike out. lol
