    I tried this morning for a couple hrs. Not a deer seen. Back at it maybe on Sunday/Monday.

    I’ve held off on getting in a stand the last 2 days because of forecasted thunderstorms. Last night was a good choice… it stormed. Tonight the storms held off. Tomorrow will be another wait and watch. Saturday looks good.

    Heading up this weekend to do one last camera check and put one more stand out. Cell cams have been pretty quiet the last three weeks. Hopefully there is some movement on the regular ones.

    Plan today is to shoot some arrows, maybe sight in a rifle and wash my hunting clothes and hang them outside for a week or 2.

    I’ve got a buck I’d shoot where I passed that one. Just needs to cool down and get earlier movement. The one in the back and maybe the buck in the second pic.

    No deer were killed tonight.

    Have a buddy in Montana that got an elk and another buddy is about to track a 120” 8 he shot earlier.

    Thought it was gonna happen. 5pm I hear noise coming toward me, a deer running. Draw as it comes out of thicker cover...spike. ha..he then rubbed a tree and ran off like he was thinking about girls in September.
