I hunt a small 47 acre chunk of private in central MN. Big bucks have been few and far between so far. Always have nice ones running around though.

I’m motivated to get some meat in the freezer this year, though.

I am not taking the hunting season very serious. I am going to enjoy my time in the woods and just hunt like I used to...explore, move in, and try to kill. Repeat.

Some great looking trail cam pics. I haven't ran much of cameras in the last few years. I hunt a 30 acre chunk of private land in SW Michigan a friend of ours owns. This will be my 12th season hunting there. Mainly bedding and transition, not really much for oaks or other food on the property I hunt. Some ag fields around it. I've been good for a Fergie buck the last couple years, lol so don't expect much. Freezer getting low on meat and hunting time are always against me so I typically shoot the first opportunity I have. Once gun starts in mid Nov. I concentrate on getting 3 of my kids on deer. Looking forward to what is instore for this season.

Light scouted our piece of public we plan to hunt yesterday. Put up one camera. Mosquitoes almost carried us away. They are bad bad bad bad. Tonight should be interesting.

Glassed the beans and didn’t see much this morning at sunrise. Drove 45 minutes to a new spot and scouted a bit. Big ravines with oaks. Potential spot if we strike out tonight.

First sit of the year in a few hours.

Heading out in a few to hang my last stand before season. That will be a 11 total on 4 different properties. Acres to hunt between them 25 to 375. I still have my climber if I need to move. 2k acres of public 10 minutes up the road that I’ve hunted sparsely. It’s cool and breezy 65 today. Time to be productive.

Just got done setting up all our safety ropes, trimming shooting lanes, moving some trail cams, and making some mock scrapes. Can’t wait for this season to get here!

Was going to post this in the scoring thread but decided not to make more work for little chief. I would have have put all the info in. Might have been a good laugh. Didn’t go 20. See what 10 beers will do to you. E41E8FC5-6D48-4210-9DE0-816AD6BC5E11.jpeg C845A45B-553B-4C68-82F3-714DFC24D14A.jpeg

Well boys couldn’t get it done in ND this weekend. Time to shift my focus on the home farm. 2 Tactacams ran out of batteries while i was out here. Pull the chips on my other cams and get some mock scrapes set up/move some cameras off the field edges.

I have to go back to one just to make sure my entrance will be good, I didn't figure that out the day I put my stand up. I came in a different way and went out that way.

I haven’t stepped on my property in 2 months. Still need to find time to move cameras. Life is very busy right now.
