Headed to the swamp tonight. It's time.

Contemplating doing an all day sit on Friday but might save my time off for next week. A bit earlier than I usually do them but the weather is going to be good. Sitting all day Saturday for sure.

I’ve been contemplating a 10-2 sit tomorrow depending on how tonight goes.

I’ve got today through Monday off and will be going at it hard! Buck are starting to move during the day on camera so it’s time to just be out in the woods. Had a big doe walk by me this morning already, but it was 15 minutes before shooting light. Good luck to everyone, let’s get something down!

Change of plans for me this weekend. Hunting here in MN tonight/tomorrow and then heading 4 hours west to ND. I still have a tag burning a hole in my pocket so said why not.

Switching it up a little bit tonight, I’m sitting on the ground by a brush pile watching over a fresh scrape I found this afternoon. Hopefully somebody comes to check it out tonight.

He was about a 120 inch 8 pt, 3 yr old. As you know, I couldnt find him. a few inches lower on the shot and I would have been good. Ughh. I think that means Im gonna get a crack at the best buck of my life this season. haha

Still plenty of season left VS and MN. Sorry to hear about the non recoveries.

I plan on waking up tomorrow to hunt and get a gauge on how bad the rain is. If raining too much I’ll head out around 1 pm when the rain is supposed to stop.

This is the time of year we wait for. Let’s go!

Ended up messing with my sight and rest when I got home from my hunt. I should have looked up some stuff online before I did and saved myself having it resight in my bow tomorrow or the next day. I was thinking my fletching are hitting my cable guide. All I would have had to do was rotate my nocks to get clearance I would be comfortable with. Live and learn. I’ll be taking the x bow out in the meantime until I get it situated.

Very unfortunate I hit that buck in the shoulder. I’m still at it in ND today and tomorrow.

Rain pushed North so I hunted this morning. Bumped one on way in when it was still dark. Nothing during daylight. Heading back in this afternoon

I know the pain MN/VS, definitely sucks. Kill a slammer now!

My hunt-cation is down to the last sit tomorrow morning. Only one shot opportunity this week, but a successful week anyhow. I lost count at 20 different bucks tonight. Three separate times a doe was chased through by 4 bucks. Saw 4 different shooters tonight but I’m hunting the edge of a corn field and most of the chasing was taking place in the neighbors woods that the field backs up to.

One last shot for the trip tomorrow morning

Bumped a doe fawn near stand on the way out this afternoon. I think the same doe fawn came in 10 mins before legal. She milled around until after last light. Thenheard grunting coming from direction doe fawn came from. Sounded like he may have beenpushing a doe around. Hard to tell. Will be out next Saturday
