Well Im all packed and ready to hit the road tomorrow for My mid west adventure, Gonna stop off in western Ky and visit a old friend and spend the night there. Leaving out early Thursday morn for NW Missouri outfitters and plan to be at the lodge in time for supper . Will be in a stand Friday Morn for some big buck rutting action!! Its November Yall!!!
Good luck!! NW MO Outfitters is a quality place and they kill some dandies over there. Hope you get one! I was going to sneak out of work and hunt tonight but those plans got ruined by some issues that popped up. I'm not even mad because I probably wouldn't have seen anything anyways.

Hey guys sorry about my lack of not checking in lately. I have us some points, I just got the Buck home, I’ll score tonight or tomorrow.
WTG, Danno! Holding it down for the rest of us who can't manage to kill anything. I hunted last night and saw a pair of motherless fawns and a year old buck running around out of his mind. My buddy shot a giant buck not too far away from where I was at so I met up with him for the recovery and celebratory beers last night. If I can't kill them, at least I have friends that can!

I hunted pretty much all day Friday to Sunday and got skunked!! Friday morning was the best action I had. I saw and passed on a lot of does, fawns and young bucks. I thought for sure it was the start of an amazing weekend. WRONG! The action really slowed down after that. I did manage to lay eyes on 3 decent bucks - I believe all nice 3-year-olds - but nothing in shooting range or that got me very excited. I rattled one in and as he was charging up the hill at me I grabbed my bow and was ready to whack him but he never gave me a shot and to be honest, I'm kind of glad he didn't. It's one of those deer that would've ended up as another skull on my wall with the rest of the 130's. I may sneak out tomorrow morning for a few hours, then plan on doing another Friday-Sunday trip to my lease. Hopefully the big ones are moving around a little better. It was awfully slow for November 5-6-7.
A great cold front this weekend, but strong winds this weekend didn't have much moving...except me out of the tree the 14-16" free was swaying got 6-12" at for 25' on Sat. Got down and was able to find some new travel routes and scrapes. My oldest is getting married on Sat, with rehearsal on Fri. I won't be in the woods on Sat, but may get a pm sit on Fri... Rut should be kicking in within a week or two. And I've got some vacation time to use...
Oh well... So much for Friday evening... Was just told I need to be at a party... I guess that leaves Sunday pm...
