Does anyone find it crazy that dbl lung from team 1 has found 64 sheds? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I will be for my first time this year. Have done some trapping in the past but have never been successful.
I bought the FoxPro Wildfire electric call a couple years ago with a downy decoy. The only shot I ever got at a group of yotes I used my mouth and made a squeaking noise, pulled them right in surprisingly.
I'm actually looking at buying the fox pro wildfire! Is it a good ecall? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I like it so far. I have nothing to compare it to but it seems to have good speakers and a ton of calls.
Alright! I was going to buy the icotec gc300 for $75 which only has 12 calls max on it but I saw the foxpro wildfire 2 for $100 and it can hold upto 200 calls on it! No I've gotta try to get my parents to let me buy it lol! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
Just saw a yote about a mile from my house! The pelts seem to still be pretty good round here! I've gotta catch them before it gets too warm. I should be able to get out shed and yote hunting a couple times this week with this warmer weather! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
69 and counting now. I have a great dog and I have walked over 150 miles already. Not many people have access to the amount of private land I do. Hope these pics answer your question
Leo (my dog) is very good at what he does. Remember he also covers way more ground simply because of his nose. His legs are just an added benefit. I have already walked by sheds and he has picked them up behind me. Some of those pictures I posted are from last year. I hit the dislike tab by accident....sorry. It won’t let me change to “like.”
Looks like you have one heckofa dog!How much private land do you have access to!?! I've got a 4 year old borador but I never took the time to train her to not run away lol. What kind of dog is that? Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I'm out checking cameras now and have pics of bucks without antlers and big ones like this one that has antlers. Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums
I have access to roughly 4000 acres in WI, IA and now MN. It seems like I get more every year. I have had farmers call me to look (no BS) once they found out about Leo. Tractor tires are expensive especially when you consider what farmers are receiving for milk and crop prices. Leo is a Labrador/retriever. He will be 3 years old Feb 28th. He has had a antler by him since the first day he got home. Last year he found 2/3 of the sheds we found. It was an amazing shed season last year and this season is shaping up to be even better. I think last season we only went one day without finding at least 4. Leo is a natural shed dog. He was born with the search gene. It took very little work to get him to find his first antler. I will say he does not do well when there is another dog or another person with us. His attention is interrupted and he forgets what his job is I think.
