Ha I put that on for the pic to mess with a buddy. Nothing moving this morning, season sucks here in lower Alabama until January pretty much unless you rifle hunt.

Well the morning started off a lot slower than expected. Saw first deer around 8 and couldn't make out what it was. A few minutes later I see a deer in the field headed my way, got the binos on him and it was probably a 2 1/2 yo 8, maybe 90-100 inch rack. Making a straight line for me, grunted a few times he started running at me but stopped just shy of the woodline as he was looking for whatever was grunting at him. Grunted a few more times but he just would not come closer and he ended up walking back the way he came in. That was a great encounter, would have been nicer with an arrow in him, but this morning solidifies why I bow hunt. Good luck guys.

Ok so I was in the "bedroom" this morning. Had a yote come into 20 but I got busted on the draw. 2minutes or so later a goofy looking fork horn came in looking around that was it. So I ate now I'm back out till dark I'm really hoping tonight is my night

Well sitting in stand hoping Ghost or Strick 9 or Harley Dan will walk by at 20 yards so I can hive him a Reezen to Die. Not up north cause we are going up for gun season! Taking the bow and gun with me! Just in case maxima comes in under 35 yards.

Made down south to public land for the week. Only saw turkeys, but buddy shot an 8...he thinks. Could not find arrow or blood, but it was raining. Will look tomorrow. Only have data service @ campground so can't give live updates. Was 63 this afternoon...

Well went for a spot and stalk hunt behind my house today. Bumped up an very nice 8pt bedded with a doe about 100yds away which did not pan out to anything. Got up very close to a group of 4 does which ended up changing directions resulting in no shot. No hunting on Sundays here so I'll be back at it Monday afternoon.

Just because of the uniqueness of this deer I thought I would share it. My buddy has been chasing this deer all season and has got him on camera a total of 5 times now. I think a drop tine is on just about everyone's bucket list.

Hey guys haven't been on for a few days. Our weather here has really sucked the last couple of days. Rain and wind, 20 mph plus yesterday , with gusts of 30-40 mph. Needless to say I didn't hunt yesterday afternoon or this morning. The winds are suppose to die down a bit later this morning, so I will get back in the stand later today. Speaking of weather mike / rizzo I hope everyone in your area is safe I seen on the news Illinois was hit hard yesterday. Prayers go out to everyone effected by yesterday's storms. Well my hunting has been hot & cold. Just when I think it's gonna takeoff. It fizzles right out. I've seen a lot of the younger bucks cruising, but none of the big boys yet. MN first shotgun season ended yesterday, the second season starts next Saturday. Historically I've had my best hunting between the two gun seasons, so I'm hoping history repeats itself. Well good luck everyone and stay safe

We are ok, but the trailer was rocking so much that we went over to the cinder block shower area. Tornados were a little south and north of here. Saw 5deer this AM. 2 bucks. 1 had both side g2 & g3s busted off. Too bad cause I would've shafted him. Other one was about 120".

Well, i'm hunting tomorrow afternoon - getting into the stand as early as possible - hoping the high pressure day will get them rocking.

It's do a die time! Good luck guys!
