Hey everyone, sorry it took so long for me to check in, I didn't realize the Teams had already been drawn either. My name is Cliff, I hunt in southern Minnesota, and I'm also tossing around the idea of trying Wisconsin again this year. I want to wish everyone good luck this season, and lets kick some butt. I also like the sound of Rising Tines for a team name. I also agree I think we should wait for everyone to check in before it's final.
I'm just hoping October is actually cooler this year, it was still in the 90s last year. And hi to everyone else checking in!
Hey all - My name is Ryan and I live in Northern Minnesota. I just moved to the area and haven't had much time to scout. I have about 300 acres of private to hunt withing walking distance. I also have tags for Wi and feel pretty good because this is the first year of successfully planting a kill plot a few hundred yards off of the ag field. Not much time for trail cams but I'm hoping to pick up something to chase in the next month.
Checking in guys! My name is Mike and my post count is down this year as I am in a newer job (since end of April) that does not allow me to spend the amount of time on the personal side of the internet than previously. Was in northern WI helping a buddy hang some stands this past weekend so did not get onto BH.com until today. Even though it is supposed to be 91-93 F today here I can't wait for the season to open. I live in northern IL about a half-mile from the WI border. This year I will be hunting in both IL and WI. My bow is dialed in up to 60 yds with broadheads (both NAP Killzones and HellRazors) hitting less than a tennis ball size area even though I will most likely not take a shot past 35 yds on a deer. Yes, I am kind of a strange person to carry both fixed blade and mechanical BHs in my quiver! I'll be hunting SW WI for probably the final year as family members who own it are looking to hunt more often going forward. I have not stepped foot on the property since the last Saturday in June when I hung a camera. I will be heading out there this weekend to switch cards and hang another camera. It is kind of a heavily hunted area so the possibility of a 125"+ buck is not good, but I am hopeful. In IL I have access to a bunch of small properties ranging from 3-12 acres here in northern IL. I will be spending a week down in Southern IL during the rut into the gun season hunting public land where I have my best opportunity for a buck like Neal seems to get often!!
RIZZOOOOOOO. you made it buddy. I was gettin worried since u havent been around in awhile. Think we need to set up a pre season shoot again. Unless u can make it to the hunt club on the 7th for the pig roast the new archery range is awsome Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk 2
I've been connected with Todd and Justin for 3 years - it's been a blast. Just happy to contribute to the show/website. Filming and hunting is a great challenge. I love it!
Ryan where in Northern MN? We have a cabin just north of grand rapids - I bowhunt there every rifle opener!
Lets start tossing names around and see what sticks so that we can let the rest of the teams know who they are going to lose to what are everyones thoughts as far as picking a captain?
Im going to see if I see if I can get a buddy of mine to make an avatar for the name RISING TINES that has a pic of a bucks antlers growing
I know season is closer when I can go out to the garden and pull these:D Sent from my SGH-T999L using Tapatalk 2
Neal- I just moved to the Duluth area. We live about 15 miles outside of town. We have 12 acres and great neighbors with tons of land that no one else has bowhunted until I asked. I also have a brassica plot in the back yard that is turning out pretty nicely, so I'm hoping to take care of my doe tag asap there.
Rising Tines works for me. If needed ill volunteer for captain, I seem to have a little more free time in my hands and ill be hunting a small acreage area behind a friends house plus the public WMA.
